nah...prob Daicos, cos I never saw him play live, but, when your talking about bringing a player back, it would simply be "Pants" wouldn't it.

Harry Collier (brilliant goal scoring midfielder) or Bob Rose (ultra hard brilliant rover and great captain).

I think it all starts in the centre and a champion midfielder is what we need.

If we could put Tony Shaw's head onto Carman's body, it'd look pretty weird but he'd be one hell of a footy player.

Brad Rowe, Glen Sanford or Paul Sharkey, difficult to seperate these three champions.

I would say John Greening, because not only was he a magnificent player, but he never got the opportunity to play out a career, so if we could give him a second chance at that, we'd have to.

Darren Millane comes a close second under similar reasoning.

Tough one, but Gavin Brown for mine, just ahead of Pants. A fully fit Ricky Barham, Peter Moore, Ronny Wearmouth and Rene Kink with the right mental attitude might also be contenders.

^ Agreed.

I suppose it would depend on the positions, you could almost add one former player in each position of the ground and see how the team would be.

G'day all, long time reader, 1st time poster :D

Good question but considering where we need the help most, ie in the middle, it would make obvious sense to bring back an on-baller.

I would love to see an injury free Daics back but more from a midfield point of view rather than in the forward line. He was magic in there until his legs let him down & would still snag plenty. The likes of Taz & Big Tone would be in 7th heaven with Daics sending the ball in (& occasionally spiraling over their heads through the big sticks - heh heh, I'm getting a bit nostalgic here!) lace out on the ******.

Before Daics however I would have to go for Bob Rose. I'm a tad suprised he hasn't had more mentions given his status amongst Collingwood greats. The fact that he is considered to be Bucks mark I (or perhaps Bucks should be considered to be Rose mark II) makes the decision an easy one for me. Imagine a side with the 2 of them giving all for the B&W.
