What the hell happened to Marcus Adams.
Always reported as a foot injury, then he uploads this to his Instagram.
He's obviously done for the season - would it be so hard for the Dogs to actually tell us.
I think this is most likely. He'd only be in hospital if it was a new injury/being operated on. It's unlikely to be a new injury as he hasn't been playing.Has he done his ******* shoulder?! or was it decided he wouldn't be back so they sent him in for a shoulder op he may have needed?!

sucks ass. well we can at least forget about marcus coming back.I think this is most likely. He'd only be in hospital if it was a new injury/being operated on. It's unlikely to be a new injury as he hasn't been playing.
Tuesday'sDon't we usually release a medical update on Mondays?
How many weeks has Macrae missed with a hammy? From what looked like a little hammy at 3qt at Geelong he's had a fair stint out. Super frustrating.
Needs a lot more work into him in the preseason, not just pumping iron in the gym.
It is currently four weeks since the Geelong game, and will be six weeks come the first final. So you're pretty spot on with your Libba prediction. Not quite at JJ level.I was thinking about this. Almost at JJ's level (9 weeks) .... when they both got injured I thought Macrae would be a 2-3 weeker and Libba 5-6 weeker. Getting ridiculous now!
What would you recommend then, mate? You sound like a bit of an expert on conditioning. Obviously the strength training he does has left his body weak and frail. What would you recommend we do to him to prepare his body for the rigors of AFL football? Maybe you could come up with a training regime for him and email it to the club? Maybe we should hire you as a conditioning consultant?
What would be the first thing you'd recommend that he does? Maybe we could whack him with pool noodles for an hour every day?
I was just making the observation that he's the heaviest built guy on the whole team and his body has collapsed worse than any other player

Ok. I'll bite.Correlation does not equate to causation. Try again.

A very good friend of mine is currently finishing his doctorate of exercise physiology. He also runs his own business in the field, specialising in athletes. He's a smart cookie. A part of his material for his thesis involved working with a football team called the northern knights and working on the strength and conditioning of the players in the side that year. The side that year involved a guy with the name M.Bontempelli. You might have heard of him. Before my mate's program his bench was low to mid 70kg, and at the end mid 80kg.
This same mate of mine has made the repeated comment this year that two particular bulldogs players are carrying too much bulk this season and this will eventually cause problems with knees and feet. Marcus Adams is one of those guys.
So I'm essentially trusting my mate's judgement, who lets face it, is pretty accomplished in the field, as opposed to you, who I can tell knows nothing about anything.
How about you try again.
Also its correlation does not imply causation*** for next time you want to sound smart.

Taking a kid from a 75 peak to a 92 peak is an achievement in a number of weeks. Bont was not a strong or muscly fella before he entered that program.Surely you're taking the piss? Most basic strength training programs will allow you to improve your bench by 10kg in 2-3 weeks when it's at novice levels, which 70kg is.
70kg is a poor bench press for a post-pubescent male. You know what else is? 80kg.
Partial tears are actually harder to rehab than full tears I believe. They reported it was torn partially off the bone, so not just a typical strain.I was thinking about this. Almost at JJ's level (9 weeks) .... when they both got injured I thought Macrae would be a 2-3 weeker and Libba 5-6 weeker. Getting ridiculous now!

But sure, you know better than a lecturer of exercise physiology at deakin.
