Very disappointing. Waters was the only Round 11 back premo. Scraps any plans to upgrade a Round 12 defender such as Malceski or Clarke at a point in time that would be advantageous in the bye rounds, because there's no other option worth it. The next best options are guys like Hanley and Adcock who will only average around 85. Then again, maybe the extra game they'll play would make them more worth it than someone like Suckling or Birchall.

What about Adcock for a defender instead of Waters? Good price atm IMO.

Adcock or Hanley are both around the same price and both averaging 86 (technically Hanley is averaging 82, but if you take out the game where he was subbed due to injury he's averaging 86). I suppose 12 Adcock/Hanley games might net you more points than 11 Birchall/Suckling games (if they score 5 ppg less, 86 x 12 = 1032, 91 x 11 = 1001), so maybe it is still worth it. If I do end up upgrading to a Round 11 back, I'd probably go Hanley due to Adcock's durability issues and the potential for Voss to chuck him in the same stopping role that caused to him to score under 60 for about a month last year.

This probably isn't the thread for an in-depth discussion on it though.

The Horse also expected to miss after lacklustre performances...

A few years back in a prelim (sc) prelim game was terribly close coming down to the last game or 2, opponent had Dane swan, praying all dAy that the rumors were true that swan will be a late out, go on afl site big headline "SWAN OUT" I'm jumping for joy going crazy, click into article, "swan nick malceski is a late out" cue rage!!!!!

Personally id be amazed if Pendlebury is back for R13 after a crack to the tibia. People do know which bone the Tibia is don't they? its the main bone in your lower leg that your entire body weights force goes through. Its the one Barlow and N.Brown completely snapped. Its hard to say without knowing the extent of the fracture but i personally cant see him playing in R13 on the basis of the above or the Collingwood team risking him at such a cost.

I have one GWS player left in my squad, Treloar.

Coniglio out almost ensures that Treloar remains in the midfield rotations. Coniglio's misfortune is Treloar's gain, happy days.
