Things are starting to look quite a lot better now.

- Jared Rivers – Knee – Test
- Austin Wonaeamirri – Hamstring – Test
- Daniel Bell - Shoulder – Test
- Cale Morton – Knee – 2 weeks
- Liam Jurrah - Shoulder – 10 weeks
- John Meesen – Ankle – Indefinite
- Max Gawn – Knee – Indefinite
- Luke Tapscott – Hip – Indefinite

It's particularly pleasing to see that Morton is only a couple of weeks away from playing football again :thumbsu:

Morton 2 weeks away is great.

I wonder if Aussie will play more then 2 consecetive games before his hamstrings (apparently made of wet paper) tear again.

I hope its just really really bad luck rather then something that will plauge him for the rest of his career, i'd love to see him back on the G.

When listening to the radio on the way back from the G they interviewed greeny about who was knocking on the door and he mentioned Morton as one of them. Spoke as though he was a possible inclusion this week or next.

For those interested he also mention gysberts, PJ, and rivers. I don't think he mentioned Cheney which I found odd considering his consistently good form in the 2's.

Going to be very hard for cheney, seeing as our back half is very settled.

If PJ has been playing well we might come in this week to cover the Lions 2 ruckman.

I'd have Martin ahead of Johnson. Including PJ would be a step backwards. Martin didn't have a great pre season, but has more upside than PJ. I think we've seen the best of PJ, while Martin is proving at Casey he can go forward and kick a few and provide that tall target we need in the seniors. I place PJ in the same category as Miller and Newton - play only when there are no other options. At the moment, Jamar is rucking well on his own with a relief makeshift ruckman taking over when he needs a rest. Why change a winning formula. He took on Jolly and Fraser and won, he can hold his own against other ruck combo's as well I reckon. Besides, not having a back up ruckman provides us with another running player which is a massive bonus in todays game. If we bring in PJ, we have to lose someone like Dunn, Bail or Benell who are all doing a good job in a winning team....

PJ can kick.. Martin cant...

At the risk of being verbally abused on this board, I would put PJ in the goal square and not move him.. He can do forward line rucking to help out Jamar around the ground and he is quick of the mark for leads and can kick the ball well...

If he cant do that over the next couple of years then we should trade/delist him.. he needs to start using his huge frame in pack situations.. I want opposition backmen on strechers...
