OK, what are the implications of this development?

Seven's $45m lifeline for ailing stadium

Channel 7 lifting their level of ownership in Far Queue Stadium from 7 to 60%.

Apparently won't use this ownership as a bargaining chip for any future negotiations!

As if!

I'm tipping that 7 will use this leverage to make life merry hell for Channel 9.

Remember that the stadium owner still controls access rights over the broadcaster.

This one could get ugly!

7 now own 60% of Colonial now I take it?

Channel 7 wont let 9 into Colonial with out a quite bit of money thats for sure.

Could Waverley be reopened if problems of Access for channel 9 are being held?

Seriously i dont think the Afl will let us Visit Waverley Park again and will most likely reschedule the matches too Optus Oval then Waverley. But we never know

Doesnt Channel 9 now own Waverley as well, coz of the deal when they brought the Tv rights?

Interesting post mags. If ch9 does own Waverely then you can bet they will try to reschedule the games there. That will upset some big investors out there.

There are plenty of Saints supporters who would be perfectly happy to see us playing at Waverley again.

However, after the rooting around that the alf went to in the 1st place to get us (& the hawkers) out of there, I hope that Jacko & his mates have very deep pockets to get us back again.

As for playing at OO, **** ***
