Completely disagree. The opinion of a doctor on how to treat cancer is much more valuable than the opinion of Barry down the road who is a brick layer and believes vaccines are a government conspiracy.
Hahaha we aren’t doctors none of us are qualified all our opinions are equal

Opinions are not equal. I can't stand that about modern society as we too often treat all opinions as being valid when they are not.

I could say "Patrick Dangerfield was an amazing player for the Swans, and that is my opinion"

That opinion is obviously wrong, and is not equal or deserving as of much attention as someone who counters with "Dangerfield never played for the Swans"

That’s just false

I said Carey was arguably the best ever AFzl player and was on Adelaide’s list it’s purely factual and will always be factual

Geelong needs a handicap. You can now only select players for your team that have never received an AA.
A tough exercise!

FB: Z.Guthrie Lonergan Kolodjashnij
HB: Tuohy J.Henry Wojcinski
C: Riccardi Duncan Menegola
HF: Miers Graham Motlop
FF: Stokes Kingsley Close
R: Ottens Atkins Holmes

IC: Varcoe Christensen Sanderson SDK

In the interest of fairness I excluded players who had strong 2-3 year cameos but were more associated with other clubs (I.Smith, T.Kelly), although Smith with a Normie in a premiership year probably has to be in.

Ottens makes it as his AA was as a forward with Richmond.

Mannagh and Dempsey could be in depending on your strictness regarding games played. Podsiadly similar.

Wow good job. I was not expecting anyone to actually create a non-AA team. It isn't even a bad team. Defence is pretty good.

Wow, fun and different idea RUNVS. Here is my Hawthorn version (based on Hawthorn career only):

B: B. Stratton, B. Lake, B. Hardwick
HB: S. Burgoyne, J. Frawley, K. Amon
C: I. Smith, B. Sewell, C. Bateman
HF: D. Chick, N. Holland, B. Dixon
F: M. Williams, N. Thompson, P. Puopolo
R: B. McEvoy, W. Day, J. Newcombe
I: L. Shiels, D. Hale, B. Guerra, J. Worpel
E: J. Impey, J. O'Meara, B. Hill.

Gets real hard at the end and probably forgetting someone obvious.

Still a decent side I think - perhaps only the forward line a weakness given most good Hawthorn forwards have been AA (there were some decent current options but probably too early in their career).

Good effort on the Crows side.

Mine would look like...

B: Hart, Rutten, Talia
HB: McLeod, Bock, Laird
C: Sloane, Ricciuto, Dawson
HF: Lynch, Walker, Dangerfield
F: Betts, Thilthorpe, Rankine
R: Jacobs, Goodwin, Thompson
I: Smith, M Crouch, Edwards, M Stevens
Sub: Vince

Jenkins probably deserves to be selected ahead of Thilthorpe on games, but Riley is more dangerous.
Removing our All-Australians makes this little harder...

B: Johncock, M Stevens, Otten
HB: Michaelanny, Worrell, Bickley
C: Seedsman, B Crouch, Vince
HF: Lynch, Tippett, Porplyzia
F: Rankine, Fogarty, Jenkins
R: Jacobs, van Berlo, Edwards
I: Stenglein, Douglas, Burton, Keays
Sub: Hinge

No doubt forgotten someone obvious.

Nah, no glaring omissions - pretty close to how I would have picked the Adelaide side.

Curious in how you rate the Birdman (Brett Burton) though? I would have thought he'd be good enough for this non-AA side, at least on the bench?

Also, how did you approach Nigel Smart? I assume not good enough in the 2000's (his best in the 90's) for the original side and not eligible (as a former AA) for this second side?

If so, fair enough. Another way of looking at it is if you take his whole career into account, he definately makes the original side (as a 300 game, triple AA gun) and if you only take his 2000's into account, he still had 5 pretty good seasons and no AA's so could be squeezed into this second side.

Edwards probably the most underrated crow for mine so glad to see him make both your sides.

Yes, Smart's best was last century... though in hindsight displaces Mark Stevens for bench spot.

Burton whilst never top 3 in our best & fairest like nearly everyone else was an oversight & good pick up. I have edited my side.

Scott Welsh is probably ahead of Darcy Fogarty for now.

270 goals as a Crow overall, with 19 in finals.

199 and 1 for Fogarty.
