Hello SFA friends,

I know what you're thinking. Someone must have hacked Pie 4 Life's account. But stress not, for you're not having an acid trip and I am actually posting a media thread. In fact one that I hope to maintain throughout the season. Let me explain exactly what Pie's Peculiar Punts is all about.

There's been plenty of gambling threads in the past that make any addict salivate in terms of what potential there is within the SFA. But it is almost unfair to take suckers fake money for a fake profit. In fact, we at Pie's Peculiar Punts understand that with the Qooty sim, you have a 50% chance of winning everything, regardless of status, prestige or general shithousery. That's right, you could be a first gamer and absolutely pant a Mobbs Medalist. So, if everything is a 50% chance, why not have a gambling agency that offers you those same odds?

How it works

Each week, I, Pie 4 Life will put up 10 Peculiar Punts. These could be "which of these teams will win?" or "which of these players will have more disposals?" or even "Will Player X have over or under 50% game time?" Each week will be different, but the odds will be the same. You'll have a 50% chance of winning, and a 50% chance of losing. How does that sound?

Q&A

How do I enter?

Entry is purely a come as you please scenario. At the end of each week (preferably once teams are submitted), I will post a new set of Pies' Peculiar Punts. All anyone has to do is just either quote and bold the selection you want, or list which options you are willing to back.

Entries will close before the first bounce of the Qooty round, and any posted after that will not be counted!

How is it scored?

I'll tally up how many you get right and wrong each week. Do you do it every round and either breakaway to a big lead, or do you dig yourself a bigger hole? Do you try and place yourself in front and rest on your laurels? Or do you wait for others to fail and pounce at the end? It's all up to the individual. I'll have a leaderboard running.

Will you be able to actually maintain this throughout the season?

I don't want to spoil anything, but that might be one of the first Peculiar Punts but the answer is, hopefully! If I don't, then I know I will feel the wrath of scorn. But, let's have some fun in the mean time.

When does it start?

I'll post a bumper pre-season over the next 24-48 hours which will have more Peculiar Punts than the weekly ones, but these one will only be able to be confirmed at the end of the season.
