All those who participated, please stop 'supporting' Richmond. That was the most pathetic display by a group of supporters I've ever heard. I don't care how ****ing bad he was, having 20,000 people simultaneously ripping into him whenever he managed to get the ball is not going to help anyone.

Yes, he was bad. Terrible, in fact. He was one of the worst players out there in amongst a lot of very bad performances. But guess what? Doing what a seeming majority of Richmond supporters who were there did isn't going to make him play better. I'll tell you what it will do. It will absolutely destroy any confidence he has left, and only serve to assist in more turnovers.

And the longer the match went on, the worse it got. Every single time he got the ball. In fact, it got to a point where every single time he even went near the ball he would cop shit. I had one ******** behind me criticising absolutely everything he did. Absolutely everything. 'Ohhh look at Tambling, running hard to space. What a ********'. He actually said that. Minus the 'what a ********', but that was there to demonstrate that he was making what is clearly a positive into a negative.

Never have I seen something like that from supporters of another club. Never. Just Richmond, so well done guys. We've officially claimed the title of the most pathetic supporters in the league. Personally I'd appreciate it if those who did participate in said jeering admitted to doing so - I'm sure you'll have no problem coming forward because you no doubt feel your actions are warranted, hence why you're a feral - so that the few decent Richmond supporters can look down at you from our moral high horse in disgust.

Don't like his game, whatever, fine. Mutter under your breath. Say '****ing Tambling' to your friend. But an entire crowd of Richmond supporters ganging up to form one formidable, feral outfit like that was the most disgraceful thing I've ever witnessed at a football game.

Good thread JSFish you make feel ashamed of myself when I use to go to games with my late friend and get upset at a few players.

Yeah quite an embarrassment. Walking around the MCG and Docklands though are you surprised? The average football supporter walks around in tracky dacks and thinks drinking bundy is being fancy. Bogan central.

Mate the 20,000 people jeering weren't all Richmond supporters the Bulldog supporters jumped in on the whole 'Franklin draft scenario'.

maybe richie's playing injured
rest him up for 2-3 weeks and bring him back via coburg
when he starts performing.

JSfish, i agree that as supporters of a football team, we should not gang up on our own players.
but maybe its the only way to send a message across to the coach?
90% of richard tamblings performances for the Richmond footy club, have been well below par. However, Terry 'Genius' Wallace, still persists with him.
i am convinced that wallace himself can see that tambling is a hindrance to the squad, however dropping him would show the supporters (and the media) that his selection in the draft was wrong, thus causing more pressure on him, and more questions asked regarding his crediblity as a coach.

at the end of the day, both terry and tambling have to leave.
coaching football, and playing football is their occupation. both cant do their job properley.
time for a career change lads.

There were more Dogs supporters doing it!
Up behind the goals at The Coventry End it was certainly predominantly Richmond supporters, and going by the way Tambling is perceived by the average Richmond bum I'd say that a fair number of Richmond supporters were doing it.

And I highly doubt that the Bulldogs supporters all managed to formulate a plan with regards to jeering Richard Tambling when he goes near the ball. As opposition supporters I doubt they were paying much attention to his game.

Tambling has been dropped in his career. A couple of times. He was clearly unfit today, just couldn't really stretch out and run hard.

wallace said after the game that he admits it's a pretty poor game by tambling. but the reason was that his gf gave birth to their 2nd child only 2 days ago and he had next to no sleep the night before the game. that's probably the reason he looked listless out there

What a joke that was, he had a shocker but at least he tried to kick the ball to dangerous positions.

Like the hawk fan said leave it for King.

Not often I feel sorry for one of our players playing badly but I certainly did with tambles today after our supporters were giving it to him

Maybe, but plenty of Richmond supporters doing it too. I was up the Richmond end and a few people around me were having a go at him.

Pretty sad day for the RFC.

Who was it last year that was given similar ironical cheers when he hit a target? Sometimes im embarrassed to be a Richmond supporter, not because of how poorly our players are going, but how poor our "supporters" are supporting.

Disgrace.

I thought that was a terrible excuse from Wallace. If he was fatigued before the match, enough that he would bother to bring it up as an excuse in a press conference, he should not have been played. He is not that important to our side that we would be willing to play him at anything less than 100% fit.
