I can't get over what David King reportedly said that if we had Cotchin playing against Geelong we would have won. Wallace also lamenting we didn't have Cotchin because of his good foot skills. If a second year player with less than 20 games experience is that important to the side for it to actually play decent football, then I think that shows how poor our side really is. 2 out of 12 quarters won does not sound like a finals quality outfit.

What will it take for people to smell the roses? Surely losing to Melbourne would do it. Who could possibly think we can make the finals and do anything meaningful if we lose to them?

We've clearly been hurt by persisting with players who aren't AFL standard and have atrocious skills. Tambling, schulz, edwards, king, jackson, simmonds, etc. and not trading players who continue to make basic errors. Just happy to plod along and snag the occasional decent win. 4 wins out of the last 40 games vs top 8 sides says it all really.

No Wallace did some fine smoke and mirror work for awhile but the smokes staring to clear now still im prepared to be back on the wagon if Tigers can win the next 3 in a row lol 1 in a row would be a start.

And while I'm on a roll in barrelling support for things I didn't expect to roll so smoothly, did anyone think we really missed McMahon's rebound 50 work today?

We really had no quarterback that has the skill to get loose and clear the ball. And sure McMahon will give away about a goal a game but I reckon we conceded far more opportunities by not having a player like him around and getting lost in our own back 50.

I'm still on the wagon...

As much as I think Mcmahon is soft..... we missed him today.

Looking forward to seeing Collins come in.

Couldn't agree more. We're 3 rounds in out of 22 ffs. Show a bit of faith and support to the team we all love.

Everyone loves this club.

We just show it in different ways.

We have to beat bogey teams North and Sydney which are gonna be tough games.

I thought Richmonds 1st and 3rd quarters were good yesterday.

We need a 4 quarter effort even to beat the above mentioned teams.

On a positive note,we have Cogs back soon so that will add a bit of toughness.

Poor ole Cotchin must be gutted sitting in the wings with nothing to do about it.

What some of you guys are saying is you expect Richmond to go 13 and 6 in 19 games.

Read what I just wrote...Richmond go 13 and 6.......laughable. We might beat Melbourne Freo and Essendon. Apart from that don't waste your money.

I'll reserve judgement till Rnd 8.

We have a very good list that can make the 8. That should make the 8, irrespective of the result of our first 3 games.

If you take emotions out of the equation, most of us are over-reacting to the results of the first 3 matches.

I'm with PR.

I don't mind if we make the 8, aslong as Wallace gets fired.

Sadly our management is too dumb and will resign him if we make the 8.

and if we do make the finals you'll be all happy and praising he club. no, because you had no faith in them when they were down.

I had a good laugh and I'm sure many others did too. Bravo, hilarious post.

Good to hear you're happy to have us running round like gooses in the backline then trying to clear the ball.

Like it or not our backline struggles without a quarterback and McMahon is all we've got and he's a hell of a lot better than Jake King.

The backline is always running around like gooses, with our without McMahon. As far as I'm concerned with his turnovers every second kick and lack of accountability and hardness he is hopeless. We should be developing kids not holding on to second best or in many cases down at the RFC, third and fourth best. What role do you think Newman plays in the side? Quaterback. Rance is going to develop into that role too and maybe even Post. He is simply not needed or wanted from my POV.

no use being a drama queen,

dogs are top 4 and to be in the running up to 3 quarter time was a decent effort. i know the disposal wasnt good at times but thing will improve now that they play lower teams
Talk about 'drama queen'. Did anyone listen to the crap coming from 3AW yesterday after the game. Absolute garbage! I listened to it with a Bombers supporter, and we were gobsmacked with the s**t Rex Hunt was dribbling. He was just about inciting Tiges supporters to form a ground swell to sack the coach and then stepping away from his comments and backing Wallace. Everytime I listen to Tony Shaw, I can understand why Collingwood gave him the flick. To sit there and list all the Richmond players he thinks are not good enough was very ordinary. I just hope someone gives those players a copy of what he said and they well and truly stick it up his a**e. Pesonally, I think you guys will beat us this weekend and be on your way to finals. You've got a good team! It's just low on confidence. Your'e all probably wondering why an opposition supporter is on your board. Like I said before, I was totally blown away by what a stupid, old, white anting waffler Rex was blurting. And thinking how lucky you guys were he did,nt get on the board or worse become president. Oh and by the way I went and put $50 on the Tiges to play finals as well!

There are grave doubts as to whether this side can be playing competitive finals footy come September - if we can even get there.

I don't really want to come 7th or 8th and get bundled out first round without so much as a whimper - we should be in a better position than we are.

Granted we have had two very tough games the last two weeks, but the lack of skill and the seeming lack of any structure at times yesterday was frightening. How can that be turned around in the space of 4 months, when we haven't been able to turn in around in ~4 years?

We rely too heavily on the +30 players and their ability and output is starting to wane, putting a lot of responsiblity on the young players who really haven't had it put upon them yet and don't seem to take it either.

I am not "off the wagon" per se, in that I am not calling for immediate sackings and delistings but there are serious doubts and even you brightsiders are surely experiencing doubt. We need to come out and give Melbourne a real thrashing to get some confidence up - an unconvincing victory will not provide any tonic.

I am trying to get on the wagon but the wheel keeps falling off
laughed hard at this..

isnt it just so true..a 3 Stooges kinda scenario atm

Sell hope in a bottle RFC..would make a million dollars right now.

Wallace as a coach is killing the 09 season..the players need direction and inspiration. NOW!!!

that round 1 loss to carlton still haunts me.

Ive sat through many a massive loss like that but that one really dented my Richmond armour. A big chunk of my Richmond faith died that night.

It really was a soul destroying loss for the fans the club and the players.

I dont think the players will recover from that this year.
Ive lowered my expectations from 13 wins to 5 wins.

The look on Richo's face during the bulldog game said it all. Absolutely shattered! another wasted year.

Judgement Day is here - season is over as far as making the 8

Agree, he has to go. Unfortunately he wont walk unless we pay him out.

Yup.

Although this year's a write-off, I reckon we can still aim for top 8, finals, and a GF next year (I'm serious).
