Bradley was fortunate enough to play alongside some pretty handy in & under midfielders like Williams, Brown & Ratten, so rarely had cause to put his body on the line. In the latter years of his career, without the support of a couple of these guys, he was found wanting on a number of occasions. My saddest memory of Braddles was in a game at Princes Park in 2002 when he had to fly for a mark, but anticipated contact from an opponent & pulled out. The opponent didn't get to the contest so it really made Braddles look bad. It was disappointing to see, but his speed, flair & skills over his 375 game career (exemplified by the oft replayed goal v WCE at Princes Park, where he had several bounces, gave the ball off, got it back again & then kicked a banana goal from about 45 metres) compensated for the odd piece of softness.

From what I have seen of Gibbs so far, he seems to possess a similar amount of flair & skill as Bradley so will have a significant hurt factor with his disposals.
