... what a difference one game can do to the club. Having watched On the Couch and now Footy Classified there seems to be a huge amount of criticism being directed at the club. To mention a few they were:
- the Neeld press conference and the fact that he was "too emotional" and
"too honest". Didn't realise he was teaching primary schoo kids that need to be nurtured.
- according to Thomas and Wilson Neeld has "lost the players" already. After one game. Good grief. They interviewed Moloney and, because he referred to the coach in the third person, it didn't bode well for the club (according to Thomas). Way to go clutching at straws Grant.
- Lyon presenting the jumpers on the field before the game. I thought it was a nice touch from the club but Mick and Richo didn't like it apparently. Loved Lyon's retort when Richo labelled it grandstanding by saying "what, like waving your hands around when your team mates don't kick you the ball?"
- Thomas writing an article about Neeld not treating the indigenous players correctly, which was later deleted by Thomas as he wrote it on second hand evidence. Good journalism work there Grant. Neeld was PISSED about it, and rightly so.
- And after one game Mitch Clark is not worth the coin, not a KPP and will never be any good. Let me repeat the part about ONE game. **** me.
I can't believe the amount of criticism that the club has copped since Saturday. Sure, we were pretty awful on the weekend but it's one game. I thought Neeld handled himself in the press conference in a manner that the club has needed for years and we will be better for it. The media is always asking for honesty and when they get it, it's too much.
What's next? We get rolled by the Eagles and it's time to fold? Jeeeeeeeeeeesus.
