It is so hot

I remember that, was played in Sharjah. Luckily for Australia the Pakis collapsed pretty quickly in both innings and the match didn't last too long. Must have been a nightmare playing in that sort of heat.

Not too hot in Perth right now, normally it's scorching this time of year. No doubt we will cop some hot days soon enough though. I think we had a record number of consecutive days over 30 degrees around Jan/Feb last year. Was f***ing unbearable, minimum temps hardly ever got below the low to mid 20s.

Yep, last summer sucked with no AC. If it was 30 it was a relaxing day.

It's been much cooler this year, which concerns me. I get this feeling we'll cop it in late Jan/early Feb.

Current temp. In Melbourne is 26.2 degrees according to BOM. It also says the wind is southerly at about 18 km/h. The cool change will come through this arvo with a possible storm so there is relieve in sight.

Me and the doris cracked it yesterday, couldnt take another night of sweltering heat with no air con. So we went to the Goodguys and bought a portable AC for ~$400 and it is grouse for our bedroom. It wouldnt cool anything larger but does medium sized room fine.

Then went to Coles/Liquorland and got all the ingredients for Mojitos and Long Island Iced Teas and we were set! :thumbsu:

who remembers this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_2009_southeastern_Australia_heat_wave#Adelaide.2C_South_Australia

i remember that it hit 40C before lunch on one of the days
really like summer, but that heatwave was pushing it. was ridiculous
I was getting my pergola done during that time. The day of 45 was the day they put the roof sheets on it. They started at 5am and finished by midday. I gave them heaps of cold water and looked after them really well.

And then I found a few months later what a crap job they did.
