It's time for Brent Harvey to hand over captaincy

Selfish player. Should finally have some dignity and not only give the captaincy away, but the game as well. It has passed him.

Lol at some of these posts.. trolling a 33 year old player. He is past his best form if you havn't noticed and even still he gets a game at most other clubs.

Yes maybe to opposition supporters he is a little sh*t like almost every other small guy or small forward in the AFL. Milne, Didak, Monfries, Ballantyne to name a few. Can you see the trend?
Anyway hate all you want but at least have the decency to admit that he has been a champion of the game.

A) he is a hardnut man of steel.
B) cheap shot ? ... I think your the soft one.
C) seeing princess riewoldt get smashed was all I needed to cheer me up.
D) your right it was possible to put riewoldt in hospital the fact that Ziebs didn't shows he didn't hit h as hard as he could have.

Ziebell is a hard nut clearly you wouldn't know anything about that being a swans fan now that kirk's gone. But to question Ziebells attack on the ball is not on. I've never seen a 20yo attack the ball like he has. Two broken legs and a stuffed hip all through putting his body on the line in a matter of two years. One mistake doesn't make him a sniper or a thug. Get over yourselfs if it wasn't riewoldt who he put down no one would be talking about it.
So much kiddy angst providing so much ammo. I'll let it go tho, coz i can see "Ziebs" means a lot to you.

I apologise for underestimating your hero worship of "Ziebs"..but to be fair the only "hard nut" in that contest appeared to be "Princess Riewoldt".

To make matters worse "Princess Riewoldt" showed all the qualities we expect from a captain, whilst another captain was whinging, complaining, taking dives and generally being useless whilst offering a poor example to his teammates again, and simply because someone had the audacity to man up on him. Not the first time is it.

North fans may not like it, but this particular game meant a great deal to their club and particularly their newish coach. Well documented that he'd identified the aints as a bit of a benchmark for this season's performances.

Scott and the entire admin at North must be desperately disappointed at what was their biggest game of the season. This particular game will burn all thru the off season and someone will need to take responsibility.

Can u blame the coach ? Dont think so. So why were they so insipid and seemingly lost in such a big game ? There truly was something blatantly obvious going on out there and it will be just as obvious to all at the club from the skinny new kid up.

Perhaps it wasnt helped by seeing such a contrast in leadership qualities...you even saw Riewoldt sending a signal to his guys by initially not accepting an apology in front of his blokes..."lets bury them". Got up fast, shook it off, drove them on. After the game was the time for any nicities and seemd reasonably accomodating despite the cheap shot.

So what was Boomer doing during this ? At what point was he going to look up at the scoreboard, look at the faces of his teammates, and ignore his own performance ? Where was the inspiration coz the ENTIRE SEASON WAS ON THE LINE...RIGHT ?

Its just unfortunate the contrast in leadership qualities on display was so great and so blatantly obvious.

As i've said its no reflection on his career, talent nor passion for his club...its just that he really wasnt a good choice as captain and there have been far too many examples of it.

Think of the inevitable change as a good thing...not a bad thing. The diehard North fans can simply turn a new page as some sort of comfort from what was truly a horrible and woeful performance that will require change.

Its interesting.......just about every time Brent has a poor game posters will say things like poor leader, diver, a winge/sook, selfish etc.

He plays a good game...he kicks goals....he has plenty of goal assets and you hear crickets on this site

Yep. Riewoldt dusted himself off, pushed away the runner, and lead by example.

Harvey did the exact opposite. Give the Captaincy to Swallow as he actually gives a shit.

Must admit, your posting has improved.

Except the bit about the coach, you are on the money.

Boomer to go the Ponting route :thumbsu:
