North have "the cash to burn" and would be stupid not be inquiring with Jacks manager about a potential move. A good option if desired deals fall through.

We have an abundance of tradeable players imo.

If a player nominates a club, it's generally in best interests for both party's to come up with an acceptable trade. And I believe north have the ability to do so, outside of first round picks.

Ive been quietly reading the aints board trying to see any comments regarding his new contract talks........nothing. To be honest I'm surprised there isnt any talk about him and his contract status there. Ive had a hunch that us chasing Dusty has been an all smoke and mirrors excercise and we're really ( I hoping ) chasing Jack B.

Basically this.

Wouldn't cost anywhere near as much as Kelly, would add much needed class in our side, and would thrive with our run and gun gameplan.

Should be top 3 priority for the offseason.

A good offer would push his contract for higher figures at the saints, perhaps negatively influencing their contract offer for Kelly/Fyfe etc..

I dont know about Rockliff...... but I know he is an accumulator of the ball and its one area we lack. Especially in games like on the weekend against Sydney.

I dont think he's the type of guy to come to North though. He'd be more likely to go to a club who is top 4 you'd think. But I wouldnt mind the club considering it.

He is improving each week but Carlton's backline is doing very well his year and in fact Carlton have been quite competitive. But I dont totally disagree with what you are saying.

However if a good player is available and it is beneficial to get that player if other players are not working out; then I dont see a reason why you wouldnt. After all you are trying to improve your list, not give games to players because you have them that play in the same position. Of course theres both sides to the argument and more to it than my simplistic comment on that one.
