Any information on Jack Juniper, I have heard that Hawthorn are quite interested in taking the punt on him with Pick 53 in the National Draft, would he be worth the pick, would his attitude change once chosen by a league club? Any thoughts, add them below!

wouldnt be suprised if Adelaide took him, they have spoken to him a few times lately....

also he doesnt have the attitude problem any more, it was early in the year when he wanted to play golf instead of footy, but he has had a change of mind after getting advice from a few people and is now ready for afl football.

Jack is an amazing athlete... tall, quick and highly skilled, would definately be worth a punt

a few interesting facts that i posted in another thread:

* once threw a vortex 90 odd metres to win a comp on school sports day
* very good and very quick fast bowler
* is one of the best slappers to when he bats, holds the record for most 6s in a career at SHC
* at one stage last year in the 1st 11 had 100 something runns of 40 balls
* hit 6 6s in a row against St Peters to turn the annual grudge match
* plays off 3 in golf

Well that makes me feel a whole lot better knowing that his focus is on football! Alistair Clarkson will know of him and is apparantly interested! We'll just have to wait and see now won't we!

Jumping Juniper Radioactive Man :D

Rex Hunt will call him Jennifer.

You're too young, sonny.

Classic hippy song from classic 60's hippy singer-songwriter, Donovan.

Keep Jack in line and on track, with his ability and athleticism he could be a real credit to whoever picks him up

sounds terrific

but can he kick a footy?

Kid sounds like a natural at just about everything...wish i was like that! Where is he from and if he is this good, why are people "gambling" on him with a later pick? Is there something about him that doesnt appeal seeing as this years draft is being touted as one of the worst in recent years after about pick 5...?

The kid is from Sacred Heart College and has played only a couple of games for Glenelg. He played most of his footy for School.

Sacred heart always seems to produce a bit of a smokie every year and this year it is likely to be Thomas Redden or Jack Juniper.

or both.

i like the sound of both, although juniper is hard to gauge. peoples opinions on bf dont always reflect in the real world

True

Someone who is 194 cm, athletic, can take a grab and can kick the ball 60 meters is always someone who will get some interest from the recruiters. Where he goes is anyone's guess.

jack is the best ruckman in south australia and i played with him wen he gave bennett copping an absolute pasting. he could have gone top 20 if he wasnt so focused on school work

Your going over the top there Wood would be better then him but juniper i would say IMO is the 2nd best

you still owe me for that day Harris... i looked after you.. what was it 3-4 free kicks :p

crowsarethebest u need to get out and see young juniper in action. hes more athletic, takes a better grab, and kicks better than wood. i watched wood, and played against him and in the last few years he is turning into a one dimensional player. he's a great tapwork ruckman but around the ground, is fairly hopeless. i watched him in the carnival and he did not impress me or the talent scouts from school. i tell ya, juniper will make a bigger impact on the club that picks him up. wood is the next matthew clark- 40 hitouts 0 disposals

I believe both will be up there with the very best as both are extrodinary footy players and athletes. Tom is especially focused on his footy with a strict diet and exercise training involving running most mornings along with lengthy swims he also works hard pumping weights in the gym. Anyone this keen to play AFL is sure to become the star of tomorrow.
