He braced and received contact from Lynch. Viney was a moving target as was Lynch but Viney slowed and braced for contact hence lynch had the greater momentum and subsequently Viney went backwards.

If you stand still and someone runs into you have you bumped them because your hip and shoulders made contact? No.

Good point, what if it was Viney's jaw that broke, because in that incident, we are talking millimeters between any of those guys having a broken jaw, and if Viney got it, would Lynch take the suspension? Would these Adelaide twits be saying he should of got suspended? NO CHANCE, not because it is a ridiculous question, but because they go for their boys regardless of ANYTHING, even if this means leaving your brain at the door in a mushy mess.

No

But people Bitch and moan about Consistency now we have a black a white ruling and they bitch that they don't like it

Ok then, well **** the game lets just be consistent and disregard the ramifications.

Bring in the summersault. If someone is coming toward you, Don't Brace, Summersault over them, this would really bring a exciting skill back into the game. We had a bloke who could summersault, but he was no good as a football player and was dumped. Just can't remember who it was now.

Bit clumsy? At the time, Melbourne supporters would have you believe he was the spawn of Satan, sent to Earth to kill their next hopeful young prospect, who would singlehandedly drag them to glory.

I can't speak for other supporters, about an incident I've largely forgotten about, but the Wojak one was a pretty clear-cut suspendable offence. Maybe he was given too many weeks, I don't know, I can't remember. It has no relevance to the Viney case though.

Was just looking for the bloke that did the somersault, and come across this Big Footy post;

Shows exactly what tribunal system has done to the minds of AFL players... Nathan (Ablett) would rather try a flip, risking his own safety and possibly causing serious injury, than make 'realistically' unavoidable high contact with another player and get rubbed out for two weeks...
Players are now putting there safety second behind there opponents, because they know if they make any incidental contact, they could miss games...

In the video that was linked to hear, it didn't look suspendable. But that maybe because Wojak comes into screen right at the last minute before contact. See it really matters on the angle and if they ONLY look at it in real time to get the truth.

Movement of the player is not used to determine if it is a bump only if Forceful contact was made.
If you stand still but brace lower your shoulder it is a bump

This is a fricken classic, that is going straight to the pool room. We need to get this around, seriously.

Is it too late to claim I actually made it?

Found it on Twitter :(

Name an example of someone getting concussed from this situation recently
Last year a Crow's player smashed into a Hawk's(?) player in a marking contest when the Hawk was running with the flight of the ball. There was no report from this. Why not? Nic Nat earlier this year clocked someone from Melbourne in a marking contest and didn't even get his hands on the ball. This is an illegal action in AFL so why wasn't he punished? Not sure if the Demon was concussed but being concussed isn't the benchmark for a report anyway. Fyfe didn't concuss his opponent.

Does a player need to be concussed for there to be any damage? Boxers aren't consistently concussed when they go into the ring, yet the repeated blows to the head can cause problems. Getting kneed in the head

What's really scary about this suspension, is that there is a small minority of people already indoctrinated by AFL propaganda, who mindlessly parrot the invented "your choice to bump" rule in defending this suspension. It worries the hell outta me because in time, as this line is repeated over and over, the infection will spread and game I love won't even exist anymore. I tell you all what. If you don't like the game the way it was when you found it ... piss off!!! Go watch, play or administrate a sport that panders to the level of physicality you're comfortable with; and leave my bloody sport alone!

You state a player did something but do not provide anything that can be used to judge if you could provide a video then it may be possible to comment but saying someone smashed into someone it is a bit hard to comment

I hear you brother. But you know what else I know, is that Ex Players, Coaches, Current players and Media are gutless. They will talk, and have their opinion, but NO ONE now days will stand up and fight. That is a thing of the past. I just got the end of it in the building industry, where we actually used to strike, and march for causes like the Steviedore issues in the late 90's. Now we can't stand up for anything. We are soft, just like they are pushing the game to be. Our kids are soft, the whole country is just one big marshmellow, and the system is a camper, sticking a stick into us, and pushing us into a fire.

It disgusts me! Ex Players, Coaches and Media should be standing up for anyone that pulls at the fabric of the game, never mind ripping that fabric, and putting it in the rag bag. Sitting idolly by and watching them wreck it, is just as bad as doing it themselves.

What do you think Ted Whitten would of DONE about this, STAND UP, STAND UNITED........nevermind, you guys don't know what that means. Two whole generations of brainwashed people asleep at the wheel. Overwhelmingly sad.
Ted might rise up this weekend himself....

Because, it is a little bit like the rules for ruckman and fullbacks, trick them into a false sense of security but letting 20,000 free's go for holding, pushing, pulling and then BAM, free kick, you're a naughty boy. AH FOOTY, baffling footy fans for on a decade now.

This is what happens when idiots make commentary in the media.

It doesn't matter if is a bump. There is nothing wrong with a bump. The problem is not the bump but the contact to the head!

Couldn't remember the names but I thought the incident was memorable enough.
