Can't see the crows trading Talia after 1 season on the list and in terms of his role at the club, the club views Talia as a player that can player various of roles.

IMO Talia will play across HB in more of a Goddard type of role, that Tall defender that is agile enough to get up and down the ground and can play on a 3rd tall or a mid size forward

Talia wont have to wait for the CHB potition to open up before getting his chance

I am sure they have the salary cap room to meet sammy's requests and have picks well before adelaide, essendon and richmond.

You're struggling to understand the situation aren't you. Ratten, Swan, Icke have said pick 14 or no trade. Doesn't matter what anyone on BF wants. I personally think we should be pushing for pick 14 plus a 3rd round pick given the sa crows came out with a large contract offer for Jacobs.

In a way it's good that Carlton are being strong and clear. If the sa crows say 'no', we'll just cut them form trade talks on day 1 and move on to talks with other interested clubs. Easy. It's really no big deal. The crows can play Sellar as their #1 ruck in 2011 - apparently you rate the guy highly.

Jacobs is leaving to more opportunities to be a number one ruckman.

Stevens wanted to go to Collingwood, so you shouldn't assume that Jacobs is your's.

The AFLPA will kick up a stink if you don't do a fair trade for a player you showed the dollars to get him to walk. Adelaide will have egg on their face and a bad trading reputation if Jacobs doesn't get to the Crows. Just like the Saints and Ball, we don't have to accept unders or a player we don't need.

I doubt that Jacobs is the type of person who would stitch Carlton up after we gave him the chance. The other clubs had their chance to get Jacobs after he was re-drafted with pick 76 in the 2009 rookie draft. No one showed any interest, so Jacobs re-committed to Carlton. Carlton will do the right thing by Jacobs because we wanted to keep him and he's a quality person.

It's up to Adelaide to make us happy.

I believe he's a 1st round pick especially if a club is desperate for a ruckman then they should cough up cause he's gona be one of the top ruckman in the AFL.

As for Walker they tried to trade him last year, got no takers. They will be doing their best to trade him anywhere cause he does'nt have a football brain an constantly tries to be a hero and take a spekie in th backline allowing his man who stays down to score. This goes against Ratten's insuctions. He can't tackle and cant make decision under pressure. That is my opinion but is also the opinion of Ratten who's had a gut full of him not listening to instructions,"FACT".

Yes Thornton has made errors but so have every single player in that team, but no one has made as many as Walker and still got to keep his spot because Ratten cant move past the bitch arguement he had with Thornton.
