Firstly Carlisle (assuming the substance is illegal which is a fair assumption) didn't cheat, he took recreational drugs.

Secondly unless it is back to the future day (ok dam that one might be true) he was a bomber when this happened.

Thirdly, if we assume the level of proof for Carlisle is enough to call him a drug cheat, then dude you have at least 20 of them on your list (they took something, but we can't prove what it is).

Carlisle is a dead set plank for filming and sharing that, and hopefully it's the kind of wake up call that dramatically changes his attitude.

If not it's a bust for us, but it's way to early to tell.

Hopefully whoever you guys get at pick 5 is smarter about their potential recreational drug use in the future.

always thought paying these footballers handsomely is a big risk. What do 4+ year footballers spend $300,000+ on each year after there house is payed for?

Tattoos? Drugs? Alcohol? Holidays?

Need to cut down what they are payed until later on in the year or I dunno but it is a big risk.

Some are smart and invest/save everything they earn while others piss it away.
A few years back i went to a Saints function. Big flashy SUV's seemed to be the vehicle of choice for all the players. I think BJ and Riewoldt had Range Rovers. The younger players, obviously trying to keep up were in shiny new Kia or Hyundai SUV's.
Then Ben McEvoy rocks up, and I remember thinking "smart guy" as he got out of his 5 year old Holden Ute.

By now all of the vehicles are probably worth around about the same.

Mind you, Wayne Carey suggests that Carlisle is doing all the right stuff to secure a post football media career. ( Seriously how can the Media tut tut so much over the likes of Carlisle , then pay Carey to commentate on it )?

According to the article on the AFL website today, our contract for Carlisle isn't even $600K PA, and is for 4 years, with a trigger for a 5th. So much for those rumours that it was $800K PA for 5 years!

I'm sure many a recruiter wished they had their time again and drafted Fyfe. Fyfe also has a lot of what Jake does not have. Work ethic and a will to succeed by doing the hard work. What's the old saying? "Hard work will beat talent unless talent works hard"

And then some obviously. Can't understand how Dons supporter can come on here and gloat. The whole sordid affair says more about the culture at Essendon than anything else. Gloating when they should be ashamed. Demonstrably low class. Gordon Farkas would be proud though.

Jake has even more underlying issues than just a drugs problem but you'll find that out in due course
