Most Swans fans are pretty apathetic about the prospect of getting Moore. I would much rather keep Lloyd.

and Collingwood Fans rather Keep Moore. So Win-Win then

Agreed. Very happy to keep Lloyd and not get Moore as we still have Buddy and Reid with McCartin looking like he could be a good key forward in a few years and Blakey going to be drafted at the end of this year. We really don't need Moore.

and Collingwood need to Keep Moore

Even if you guys get Lynch then you will still need Moore, and if you don't get Lynch you will really need Moore.

and That why Him Leaving be a Huge Blow to Us.

I still can't see him Leaving

I wonder how much Jeremy Mcgovern and Moore trade speculation is just smoke and mirrors. Sydney in the past have targeted players without the media fan fare. Went after Tippett and Buddy under the radar. Id prefer we keep Lloyd then get Moore. As hard as key position players are to find, at least lloyd has not been injury prone. We already have Sam Reid who is perpetually injured.

Has weapons but has serious deficiencies as well...

Excellent disposals and is your ideal half back flanker but is very poor defensively. Not sure if he will do well outside of Sydney's defence structure that allows a +1

Lloyd plays to his strengths and has a great tank. If the Suns are offering a $1mn more over the term of contract as reported then he should take the money.

Also not much to lose from the Suns as they will have the cap space and I could see them heavily front loading Lloyd's contact. I don't want to lose him but I realistically can't be mad at him if the difference in the contracts he is getting offered by the Swans and Suns is really $1 million. Every player in his position would take the Suns offer.

With Jack Martin, May , Callum Ah Chee , swallow, thompson contract end next year I doubt 1 mil will be offer to Lloyd .

$1 million extra over a contract sounds a lot but it's likely to include a longer contract length as well as more per year. For example, if the Swans have offered him $600k pa over three years and the Suns have offered $700k a year over four years, that's a $1 million difference. For a player in their late 20s, an extra year on guaranteed money might be important but, at Lloyd's age and with no history of injury problems, he'd back himself to earn another contract after this next one, so that extra year now wouldn't mean as much.

The per annum difference might still be enough to entice him to move but to the Suns?

He seems like a strange target for the Suns, too. He's not a player with a profile who might induce other decent players to join the Swans, or their current players to extend their contracts. And while he's a neat, ultra-reliable, hardworking player, he doesn't have a weapon that is going to make an immediate difference to the Suns. He's not quick, he's not strong-bodied, and he doesn't have a penetrating kick. He's the kind of player who is great to slot into his current role in an already strong team but is that what the Suns are really looking for at the moment?

GC first rounder for Lloyd and swans first rounder
Swans hopeful they can use draft pick on a player and then match bids for Blakey later.
Gold Coast get a good player and a pick 12 to 18. This only works if lynch leaves.
Gold Coast would still have a top 5 pick Lloyd and a pick 12 to 18.

Suns would likely use West Coast 1st round pick that they also have before using their own 1st rounder

Sounds like he would fit right into our team then. All we are after is players that can stay on the park. We'll give you pick 2 for him :)
