Family breakdown playing a part?
And now his ex wants to get her head in the paper at every chance she has. Talk about trash, the other day it was for getting a boob job.

She is from Bendigo though i guess

He was being compared to Bont in 2015. We were discussing who would be better, that's the talent level he is at. Don't know if he can put it all together.

Problem is for a trade dogs would want more than another club would be willing to give up.

Cats may find a similar issue with Motlop
I believe the cats already made that discovery that last trading season

Not easy being a single parent with two young kids at 22. Tough for both him and his ex-partner. Give him a break.
If his mrs has half a brain she will let him concentrate on footy to get the most out of himself and capitalise financially, so that his kids can have a good opportunity growing up. They can both make something good from a bad situation for their children.

I would suggest that someone with 2 kids at his age and this issues he has had with their mother - footy is unlikely to be the most important thing in his life or even close. At 22, footy has to be number 1 or you see what we're seeing with Stringer. Of course at any age if you have kids - they have to be number one without question.

I will say, as a 30-something with one child in a stable home - it's challenging enough as it is. I marvel at how single-parents can cope at all, and I often think that under-25s who are contemplating having children should really just hold off for a bit. Not to say there aren't amazing young parents out there, but I can tell you for sure that I'm a (much) better parent now than I would have been at 22.

Has a rare combination of power and speed which give him the ability to have some pretty explosive highlights.

Other than those attributes he's dead set average and a bit of a hack to be honest. Has always had a propensity to be non existent at times, kick a floater or one off the side of the boot that looks so bad that it makes you pretend you didn't see it.

Hugely overhyped by the media, largely due to BT.

The reality is he's just an average player with some exciting attributes. Work ethic also in question.

Combine the above with some personal issues and he goes from being an average AFL quality player to a VFL quality player.

Well if the kids are the reason for his poor form, the answer is pretty obvious.

Come back to the game when they get into school, or after they graduate and have jobs.

Bang on.

I was privy to his testing stats a few years ago, has quite small hands, hence his poor marking ability of any description.

Hit and miss kick, can't mark, and a poor tank.

He's basically a tall, powerful, explosive player that has the footy brain to get in the right spot, but doesn't have the tools to be damaging at all.

Would like him at the Saints. Is there issues with current team mates. I don´t want to insinuate anything but there´s been some talk.
Seems like the classic change of club could be a wise career move. His best is the package we´ve all seen. Hope to see it again soon.

He has already been very damaging at AFL level and in big games. But he's got some issues with his game that he needs to work out, namely what exactly is he trying to do out there? If he is deep forward they need to sort out his leading and the forward structure if he is a half forward he needs to be a lot fitter and rotate through the midfield.

If you were 'privy' to these results a few years ago, why didn't you post this in 2015 when he kicked 56 goals and was named AA at 21?
I'll answer the question for you. It's because you're like an increasing majority of BF posters who lurk around here waiting for young players to have a bad run so you can sink the boots in.

Are you saying he was a great mark and a great kick back then as well?

Jack Anthony had a great year as a medium forward once too.....

I think he's pretty reflective of WB as a whole. He looked good for a little while but now he's been exposed for the mediocre player he really is.

I agree with most here. He looks like he has a real lazy streak. Maybe the coaches could see the patches where he's looking like he's going missing and give him 5 mins on the ball more often. He's so explosive in the guts but we don't see him there, enough imo.

A perfect storm of issues. A combination of laziness, family issues, injuries, awful ball use going forward, no forward support all add up in the end. His talent hasn't gone anywhere and he's only 23, just needs some support around him.
I think this is a pretty good wrap up of the issues. Also a very good possibility he got ahead of himself with BTs obsession.
But very young to be going through the family issues and trying to concentrate on footy at the same time.
