One of Lyons Grigg or Wright and our 1st should be enough
If he nominates us as the destination club of choice then One of Lyons, Grigg or Wright will get the deal done. I think Lyons & Wright will jump at it to get more game time (Wright will be dropped this week or soon and will struggle to get back in), Grigg is local so don't think he will go.

There's no way on earth that a late 1st rounder (10+) alone will get the job done with Aish.

As for Danger.. could go either way. My previous post was obviously assuming that he is intent on leaving. This may or may not be the case. I hope he stays, but I'm not reading any positive signs coming from him the way that we have with Sloane & Douglas (both coming out of contract but publicly committed to the club).
I think first and 3rd round assuming we finish top6... Also go for yarran if we lose danger with 2nd round and keep our danger compo pick and head to draft with it and find another good quality tall ... Wouldn't weaken us too much considering and may make us more balanced

I heard murmurings that we tabled Wright during the Polec talks but he didn't want to move

That would have been the wright move.

Highly unlikely we're even in the hunt for Shiel or Treloar. Neither are from SA, plus the focus should absolutely be on Dangerfield (because he's our best player), Sloane (because he's one half of our heart and soul), Aish (because he's a highly talented local who apparently wants to come home), and KPPs (because if Talia went down tomorrow our key defenders would be Hartigan and 'insert rookie here').

If we're hunting anyone born outside SA it really should be a J Carlisle, Rance or L Henderson type IMO.

I'd love Dylan Shiel running around for us as much as anyone, but it just doesn't make any sense to prioritise him over talls.

I realise it's highly unlikely, but hypothetically speaking, if either of them were open to coming to SA, I see no reason as to why we should prioritise Aish over Shiel/Treloar.

I'm with you on the Dangerfield/Sloane/KPP part though.

Agree ..keep Lyons reward his loyalty. He's a talented kid with the right stuff
I like Lyons but how are you rewarding his loyalty by keeping to play for the seconds.
I think he is behinds both Crouchs, CEY, Kerridge, Wright and Grigg.
He needs to go to a team like Carlton where they would play him for 22 weeks and let him gain his confidence. He wont get that here.

He was taken at pick #7 - and the main reason he slid that far was because clubs were concerned about his potential as a homing pigeon. Since then he has (or will have) had 2 years of development and has shown every sign of living up to his top billing. In no way has his value been reduced.
Absolute garbage Vader.
At this stage hes shown next to nothing.
He's had about 1 good game, and currently cant make the side, contract or no contract.

He may turn out to be a gun, but he sure hasnt shown it yet.

The rumours are emerging that the reason he isn't making the side is the fact they don't think he is going to be there next year. When the president of the club starts talking to the media in those terms you start to get the impression that internally its not all roses and the club isn't happy with him.

So choosing one of Lyons, Wright & Grigg, you want Aish.

Cool.
I would happily give up any 2 of those 3 players for Aish, if that was what it took to get him. That of course assumes that the player(s) in question would agree to go to Brisbane, which is by no means a safe assumption.

sorry to be intrusive what makes you think Brisbane even want more midfielders we need key position players to teach our youth

Yes Grigg will be a better player....in the SANFL, where Aish won't ever play again.

Aish is so far ahead of Grigg it isn't even close.

Talking Grigg/Lyons mate not Grigg/Aish.

You're right. Aish will be playing in the VFL.
