Sloane and Viney actually do both have foot injuries that have caused them more trouble over the last couple of years than Polec's foot has caused him.

I'm no medical expert, but I'd say a Navicular injury would rate a little higher on the career-ending scale than Linsfranc and toe issues.

You can trade a contracted or uncontracted player. Polec falls out of contract at the end of this season.

An educated guess says 40-50% of top ten picks don’t reach 100 games

Probably 2 maybe 3 out of 10 top ten picks reach polecs level or higher.

Exactly. I'm all for keeping Polec. Go back a read the hype on Jack Watts in his draft year. He was a certainty to be absolute gun.
Anyway we may not have a choice.
 
I am happy to see him go and wish him well if North are willing to pay him that much. As long as we are compensated adequately I am not fussed. Would be good to get a replacement that can kick goals from both sides of their body.

Welcome!

I base my like for Preuss, on seeing him play approx 3 quarters of 2nds football.
If he had a good ruck coach, I think he could be a regular AFL ruckman.
He is the right age, size, seems mobile enough.
