if the reported 5 years 3.5-4mil is true (or anything near that), it's anything but short sighted. I would have no moral objections to him leaving if he's not given similar at Port. takes him to 31 years old and if the nba has taught us anything it is the money when the caps go upward significantly don't hang around for long.

I wouldn't go for money but $150,000 - $250,000 per year or so over an additional two years if my math skills serves me correctly is somewhere between a shittruck and a faarktruck ton of money to weigh up when you have a limited shelf life in the game and you potentially may have a career ending injury and then you go too.....

Chris Davies was asked about Polec again today. Said contract negotiations come down to length and money and they are continuing. He reiterated Jared wants to stay at Port.

I'm worried for the first time ever regarding Jared. Only because I've just found out that his Mrs family and friends are all back in Melbourne. That could be a huge driver for her with their wedding soon to happen, and the thought of kids in her life.

Can’t imagine Polly wanting to move permanently to Melbourne.
Port will just have to play hard ball with whichever club tries to poach him.

North supporters think pick 10/11 as a straight swap is too much, Port supporters think it's not enough. Probably means it's about right.

Not a chance in hell, done mind be being blunt.
If you offering 5 years at 700 - 850 being the reported number you won’t get Polec for a first round pick and get a second rounder back.
Pick 11 by it self wouldn’t get it done.
straight swap for 11 works
Id rather keep polec. But thats probably the best we're going to get
10/11 and 28/29 for Polec is about right IMO.
