Bully for you.

There's no one playing the victim.
It's a reality that for the last 5 years we've been played by every tall who wants extra $ on their contract.
That's a fact.
Personally I'm tired of it. Stiff shit if that gives you the shits.

I'd do it too if I were in that situation. Players owe nobody anything except their employers. To be fair though I think the only other one to say it (and he started the trend I think) was Mitch Clark.

Thankfully the guy who wanted to tell GWS pick 1,000,000 for McCarthy of GTFO because we are getting Hogan is not operating in any formal capacity at your club.

McCarthy isn't a bad get, hopefully that one pans out.

Name calling doesn't help your argument .:) Name these plethora of talls that nominated Freo . Lobb and Hogan as far as I can see certainly didn't .

It doesn't hurt it either.

If he is in the top 25% of the players paid at Melbourne FC, yes.

If you can think of 10 players who are paid more than him, then he is unrestricted.

Three years is perfect timing to gear the TPP to be able to pay Hogan $2,500,000 per year for two (min restricted free agent deal is two years). In order to match the deal Melbourne's books must allow the same numbers ($5m over 2 years) or he moves.
Is he Taylor? Takes him to 6 years, RFA is 8

Why are you still here? You post more often here than you do on WC's forum and with every post you seem to outdo yourself with worthlessness. Do you really think anyone here gives a toss about your opinions? You might want to check out some of the ridiculous posts on your own trading thread before you start throwing mud at our posters.

Free Agents will be reduced to 6 years by that point imo.
I don't think it will. The noise coming from the AFL suggests that they are not crash hot on FA due to the inequality it creates.

Meh, I'm legitimately not even too bothered. He was hardly a free agent, he would have cost 2 first rounders and a player. To trade for an under contract young gun KPF would have been an absolutely monstrous deal. It probably would have cost us the salary cap space necessary to re-sign Fyfe too.

Now we take McCarthy and Kersten, and keep pick 3. Hopefully a gun mid like McCluggage to go to our stacked midfield.

Hogan would have been nice, but McCarthy, Kersten and pick 3 will do just fine.

"In truth Melbourne was never as scared of Hogan departing as the rest of us.

His father is battling cancer back in Perth but the club was reassured his dad was not urging him to come home, more intent on his son doing what is right for his career.

For all of West Coast’s public interest in Hogan, it was hard to see how they could come close to getting a deal done for the raw-boned young kid.

And as Fremantle told people, they had not met Hogan for years and had received no indication at all that he wanted to return, let alone assembling an array of draft picks and players to trade for him."
