Do any of you lend out your puzzles? I had a very frustrating couple of days trying to find a couple of tiny wooden pieces in a puzzle I'd borrowed, and was just about to replace the puzzle for the owner when they casually mentioned it had a couple of missing pieces and they hoped that wasn't an issue :p
I leant my puzzle to my best friend for her and her daughter to do. I’m pretty sure she won’t lose any pieces, unless her cats get to them, haha. She actually gifted me the puzzle for my 40th Birthday and asked if she could borrow it, I said no worries, as long as I can have it back. Of course it was a gift.

I find around 1500 is the sweet spot. Fits on the coffee table (at least the Ravensburger ones do) and is challenging without being overwhelming. Really enjoyed the last one of these we did, Singapore's Supertree Grove. Finished up framing it.
I keep upping the size to make it harder and longer for me to do. I think 4000 is my limit as any larger won’t fit on the pool table which is now the puzzle table. Unless the dimensions of a larger puzzle fit 🤔. I’m about to redo a difficult 3000 piece puzzle, will show when I get started.

Once I’ve done a puzzle I’m finished with it and it goes to the op shop. I get all mine from there too.

I’ve only kept a couple that were gifts and I particularly like them. But not sure I’ll do them again.

The vast majority of my puzzles are 1000 piece, but I've started buying smaller piece numbers when I really like the image or see it as a challenge. And then I've got a few in the 1500 & 2000 piece range

Though I do have 2 larger ones with no where to currently to complete them

This is a 6000 piece Clementoni image of Vegas - bought it as a discounted image as they updated their Vegas puzzle to show from the other side of The Strip with a greater focus on the Bellagio fountain

I've given away my completed puzzles but never lent or borrowed from someone

My first op shop one had no pieces missing which is a miracle. Won’t be keeping it though.

I keep some but most of them go to op shop.
I’ve only had a couple that had a missing piece or two. It doesn’t really bother me.

But I did get one that I quickly realised had a problem - the edge pieces didn’t resemble the picture. Then as I went further it became obvious there were pieces from at least three different puzzles and not enough of any of them 🤣. Into the bin it went. But all the rest have been mostly fine.

Helped complete a jigsaw puzzle the other day.

Plenty of false fits galore.

Made what could've been an enjoyable build become annoying.
I have a huge marvel puzzle and that had heaps of false fits, became very frustrating

That's a friendship ender right there!

Some brands are better than others in this respect. I find Ravensburger generally hard to false fit a piece, as up to 2000 pieces you'll find each piece is more or less unique.

It gets harder with larger puzzles as the piece grid repeats (eg a 3000 piece Ravensburger I think is cut with two 1500 piece masks rotated).

Wow that 18k one would be so difficult with the embedded image in the background, far out

I've reached out to the boss for Puzzler badges - the below is an enlarged version of the image I went with. As the badge images are squares, it looked better trying to resize an image that was already closer to a square than one that was either long or wide and looked really skewed when squared up
