JLT2 - Game Day Thread

So good having another Roo type on our list, been kinda of soft for a while, but he can bring an intimidating hardness to our team we've lacked since Garry Ayres era.

How did doedee do doday BTW?

Doedee was composed and highly promising for someone who hasn't debuted

He needs to play and won't let us down

I feel with form and finding our 'new' side we are a bit underdone

But will be good medium term

Did most things well except taking out his own teammates... as loves to attack the contest.

The bloke gives 110%, there’s no doubting that.. and he got more touches than most today... but when he burns the ball as many times as he does he becomes a massive liability. With so many teams being competitive the game these days can be determined by which side has momentum and momentum can swing off the back of one turnover that sees your opponents get a goal.. and he turns it over more than most.

I like him as a player but can’t see how he’s a long term addition to the team... I just thought he might be bought in to perform a tagging role when required... and, as such, would rather see a younger up and coming player take his position.. Milera, gallucci, Wilson, poholke are just four that instantly come to mind

When you're not quick and play outside you need to use the ball

Reckon he'd play inside if we weren't so strong there and he'd be ok

We need some speed in there , hopefully Milera gets up

He's going to be a very elite intercept mark and will be good one on one with more body strength

Keath barely played after hurting his ankle.

Doedee is a near certainty for Lever's spot.

Keath was better than Hartigan before he got injured. Would have no issue dropping Hartigan to send him a message that today was unacceptable.

Really loved his courage too.. throwing his body back into approaching packs attempting to spoil or mark.

This. Keath didn't get much opportunity after he injure his ankle but Hartigan's performance was unacceptable. Slow, unaccountable and still had his brain farts. Needs a rocket and no better one than to omit him from the round 1 team.

AFL.com.au couldn't have looked at the disposal efficiency, when they were picking Gibson as our best.

No surprise he wasn't in our best 16!

At the end of the game I got this feeling that our leaders should’ve been played a fortnight ago against Freo.. Sloane, Betts, Talia, Hartigan... all just looked a little underdone and struggled.. just looked like the off season cobwebs were still holding them back... I think they will all take a lot from the game. A third JLT game would come in handy right now..

Just a trial. Everyone had a run and no injuries is good.

Watts kicking six is pretty embarrassing for our defenders though. Even in a trial.

Remember Mitch Clark kicking a bag in a preseason game against the crowd in 2015? Didn’t end to well for him.

Lol, we were missing Brad Crouch, Knight, Milera, etc & our best mids were given limited game time... & Greenwood very underdone... but pretend we were at full strength if it makes you feel better.
