They lift at quarter time and/or half-time breaks? That's news to me. It is hard for the leaders on the field to lead their team when the gameplan he sends out week in and week out is absolute dog shit with the ball coming out of the a50 like a pinball. No structure, no good ball movement and piss poor selection. That's Horse's fault not the player's on the field.
The basic fact is we were beaten to the ball. All the structures and game plans in the world won't help if we can't get our hands on the ball. This wasn't about game plan, other than smothering Kennedy. Adelaide players simply wanted it a lot more. They had their backs to the wall, some great depth and a bunch of good players who weren't getting a chance to shine. They saw their opportunities and took them, led admirably by a captain who was determined not to play two bad games in a row. Hopefully we have the same setup this week and our boys take their chances to shine.

Can’t coach, thanks for your time John. This is embarrassing, time and time again we let the loose man beat us. He’s an idiot.

Good adjustments in the last quarter

yep, in the last quarter but why did we wait until the last quarter?

horse was lucky they were down a rotation and we went in small by necessity.

if we handy waited until the last quarter to even up the numbers like in the first we would have smashed them.

Ever stop to think its not the coach but the players? you know the opposition can get on top of you during a game.
Who decides to not man up the loose man in the forward line. Who decides to take natural forward like hayward out of the forward line and play them as mids where they have next to impact for weeks on end

I'm going to give Horse the benefit of the doubt & say he was just keeping his powder dry.

I think he held out making the changes needed to prevent the Cats time to counteract it like they did in the 2nd quarter. He knew there was only 2-3 goals in it and probably didn't want to use up his main move until the last opportunity IMO.

Lol makes 1 good move (albeit 30mins late) in 5 seasons and all of a sudden he’s a tactical genius.

Off topic!! Horse did change things... eventually. Took him a while though.

lol yeah we’ve been winning most of our games for 5 years by mistake
You could’ve coached this team to that record over 5 years. Heck even Blacky could’ve won a few games from the coaches box given the talent we’ve had in the squad over that period

This is so far off the mark it isn’t funny.
