Well there you go, Hutchy pounces and adds another Cornes. I just knew he took the Goody Saints job, and not a SANFL job, because there had to be another job involved, making better $$$ than a SANFL job pays and coaching an ammo team involved less time, but had no idea what it was.
Chad unlike his brother has never been as selfish and never publicly shit bagged Port when he had the chance to. Chad is close to a lot of ex teammates. Kane only really talks to Dom and that supposedly got fractured late in this season.

The amount of money he was on and with the media pumping Hinkley up to be the best
coach in the competition, they may have thought he didn't need any help in the box, or maybe they wanted him to really earn his keep on his own achievements, no assistant coaches to prop him up.
Wow this really paints a picture of where our culture was at under this selfish prick.
Only worth $400k for him NOT to be a coach.

2019-21 Dean Brogan was also an assistant coach and development coaches were Chad Cornes, Scott Thompson, Geoff Morris and Trent Hentschel. After COVID hit Thompson and Morris were released.

Someone said previously that a lot of the 2004 premiership teammates got stuck into Dom about his support for Hinkley and that made Dom reassess his priorities. Maybe Kane didn't like that his only ally changed his mind.
Kane would also step over his own grandmother for clicks so it'd probably be hard to be friends with someone like that when you're involved in the industry.

Dom called him a hypocrite earlier this year when he was heavily criticising young players - think Harry Sheezel. Dom pointed out Kane was piss weak at handling criticism. Think he said he was the worst at handling criticism.
Kane said it was uncomfortable listening to Dom criticise him.
It wasn't a massive falling out that they have stopped talking, it was more Dom telling Kane to pull his head in and Kane didn't like that a good mate said that it public.

Just at Port it was more cult like, with seperation from the fans and no criticism allowed from the outside.
Some of our players could be in for a rude shock, of why they get paid the money they do, it's about being footballers first not just about loving their daddy and being good humans.
Under Carr the fans must become relevant again and winning must be a priority, not just making up the numbers and playing their hearts out to keep Hinkley employed.
Looking forward to seeing the change in attitude all round, not a Port Adelaide Captain talking rubbish like we love him so much on national television.
