For those criticising fuel relief in tonight’s budget, you obviously don’t live in Vic. The savings I’ll make in fuel costs on my petrol powered car will offset the increased costs on my wife’s EV thanks to Dan’s road user tax on EV’s.

The point is that some on the left are criticising the fuel cut as discouraging take up of EV thus environmentally unfiriendly , when in fact the leftist government currently in power in AU has done likewise by taxing EV’s

So your wife drives how many kilometers a year in an EV?

It’s main use vehicle for obvious reasons.

I’ll wait for you to express your disgust at Vic government for being (IINM) the only state to tax EV usage.

Can you Answer the question?
I don’t know for sure, given we’ve been in lockdown over last few years so nothing to reference to. My estimate for the next 12 months is about half a million km’s. How’s that sound?

So she drives a 1500 kilometers a day??? Yer right … I think your maths is about as good as Josh’s

some ALP supporters are arguing that fuel cuts are contrary to environmently friendly agenda. Then there’s the ALP’s Dan in Vic running his own tax race on EV usage.

Let’s do the maths… or are you full of shit? which clearly you are claiming you wife drives 14 hours a day every day of the year in an electric car ….

I feel sorry for your wife. How is she coping with no weekends?

How much she drives is not relevant, it’s an ideological argument
Dans team, the most left ALP government in AU, taxes EV. The other States don’t.
It’s rich for the shadow treasurer and some ALP supporters to criticise that relief. It would obviously be welcomed by most, including you I suspect.

That's not a particularly big statement.

You know its a limp Federal budget when its just handed down, we're in the Froddo thread yet you're still whinging about Dan.
He's soooooooo left, didn't you know?

That's not a particularly big statement.
It’s an even smaller statement from those on the left who argue that the cut is contrary to EV take up, when one of their own governments taxes electric vehicle usage.

I think most Australians will welcome the fuel relief.

But you claimed Dan will take the savings you will get from the reduction in fuel excise …. But you can’t work out what that figure is??? Do you work for Josh?

I claimed that it will offset the cost of running an EV in Victoria. Unlike other States. My choice of words was correct.

LOL.
Why don't you have an EV.
