Won’t get back into parliament because he won’t win his seat back the left leaning state of Vic.

In saying that his speech was outstanding. Called it for what it is. Called out the whiny bitch of a PM and his abhorrent ideals. About ****ing time someone did. He spoke like an hurting Australian/Jew, a lot of passion and insight. He used the platform he has having been in public life to send the message.

This is The Voice 2.0 for the Libs, no wonder they’re frothing at the bit and going all in to milk this for all it’s worth.
That's how they see it and the hunger is so naked.

It's revolting. And normal people will eventually be repulsed by it.

If the government has any sense, it will zone out the media hysteria, the political opportunists and not even respond to wild unserious attacks like Frydenbergs and do sensible things like increase security, police support and so on to investigate anti-semitic incidents, protect jews and prevent further attacks.

Likewise, consider sensible legislation or regulatory change, such as with regards to incitement of hate (across the board).

Ignore overreach like press or academic censors. Don't engage with Bibi.

Support further gun control legislation, which woul proclude say affiliates of people who have say joined a proscribed organisation or one on the watch list, from owning weapons and create national registry.

Most of all, highlight and support community unity and good works.

It was a baby rant, designed only to lift his profile with the hard right.

He's some has-been missing the limelight.

it was calculated .... which puts it up there with the rankest displays of political opportunism thats happened since this tragic event .... julian leeser on abc melb not far behind

where was their collective responsibility when questions/warnings about robodebt were gathering momentum - to lecture us now on taking responsibility is nothing short of breathtaking hypocrisy

If Albanese was a LNP politician he wouldn’t have said any of it.

He’s a self-serving scumbag, like most politicians.

Albanese should publicly ask Josh to join him in a team for coming up with a strategy for antisemitism.

This way, it takes the political wedge out of it. No more culture wars (unless Josh refuses, then Labor win that culture war)
Josh has experience in government and contacts in, and an inherent understanding of, the Jewish community.

Takes Pauline out of the equation. All the old LNP crusties can stfu.

Might even get some solid results.

But overall it puts the question back on Josh - do you want to work for something better, or is this a re-launch of your political career?

Nah Josh will refuse and say something like "I'm not in Government" and the compliant Media will spin it as Albo being weak and out of ideas.

I don’t see Frydenberg’s comments as political opportunism (although it could b seen like that), instead it’s more indicative of how the Jewish community expects the wider community to respond to abhorrent attacks on the Jewish community.

Bondi killings and 27 October were tragic and shouldn’t have occurred 💯, and Australian and State Governments need to tighten up on gun laws and more closely watch radical Islam - but the Jewish community response isn’t about calling for unity, it’s about “us versus them.”

The response to 27 October is Israel wiping out Gaza, starving Palestinian children and killing aid workers, and if you don’t support that then you’re anti-Semitic. Anything less of pro-Israeli means you’re anti-Semitic.

The Israeli government response to 27 October has contributed to the increase in radical Islam globally, and the Israeli government needs to acknowledge it’s currently part of the problem, not the solution. It’s not helping the Jewish community globally

Wasn't this guy part of a government that wanted to strip out parts of the racial discrimination act? And a government who's attorney-general asserted that people have a right to be bigots?

Now he wants to call the ALP weak on tackling discrimination?

By blaming the PM personally? Really?
