First ever Phantom Draft and don't know enough about the rest of the draft to do a whole draft, so had a crack at the first round. Please give Feedback, ENJOY
Pick 1 - Essendon - Hugh McCluggage - Absolute beast who adds midfield depth to the Bombers and will be the clubs new heppell and replace Jobe Watson in the midfield after his retirement
Pick 2 - GWS - Andrew McGrath - GWS have stated they only want him and if avaliable will take him as the next Heath Shaw for the club.
Pick 3 - BRIS - Ben Ainsworth - Brisbane need a midfield machine who can kick goals, but most importantly won't be inticed to go home. Ainsworth is that man.
Pick 4 - GCS - Tim Taranto - Absolute gun who has class on all parts of the field, exactly what Gold Coast need and will take him at pick 4.
Pick 5 - CARL - BID on Will Setterfield (GWS Match)
Pick 5 - GWS - Will Setterfield - GWS will match a bid for him no matter what and will take this local gun.
Pick 6 - CARL - Sam Petrevski-Seton - Could be anything, his outside class as well as his inside game is tremendious, will fit well in the mighty Blues young lineup.
Pick 7 - GCS - Will Brodie - A good inside midfielder who is a clearance king and a strong young man, has heaps of potential, he is something GC would love and will take him if available
Pick 8 - FRE - Tim English - Local lad who will be the next replacement for Sandilands.
Pick 9 - GCS - Jack Scrimshaw - A gun half back with size who can play midfield will slot into the GC defence in replace of Malceski and then hopefully into the midfield.
Pick 10 - SYD - BID on Jack Bowes (GC MATCH)
Pick 10- GCS - Jack Bowes - Local talent and first GC academy selection for the club. GC will always match a bid and at pick 9 it is a steal.
Pick 11 - SYD - BID on Harry Perryman (GWS Match) - I believe GWS will be able to keep Perryman. So GWS will always match a bid.
Pick 12 - SYD - Griffin Logue - Been talk that they are into him and believe they will select him.
Pick 13- NTH - Oliver Florent - A automatic Boomer Harvey replacement with pace to burn and maybe the best outside mid in the draft.
Pick 14- WCE - Sam Powell-Pepper - A local gun, big bodied contested ball winner, may be picked up around 20, but i think WCE will take a local prospect.
Pick 15- ADE - Daniel Venables - Explosive midfielder who will add depth and grunt to an Adelaide midfield.
Pick 16- PORT - Jarrod Berry - A big bodied gun who will help a struggling power midfield.
Pick 17- BRIS - Jordan Gallucci - attack-minded midfielder who loves to get forward and kick a goal. He has a great turn of speed and will suit the Lions well
Pick 18- PORT - Will Hayward - A local talent and will become a good forward for the Power.
Pick 19- WB - BID on Brad Scheer (GC match)
Pick 19- GCS - Brad Scheer - Local talent and gun who will add much needed grunt to a GC midfield.
Pick 20 WB - Kobe Mutch - Another inside midfielder who will add depth to the Dogs mids.
Pick 21- SYD - Jy Simpkin - Silky and classy, Swans won't pass on him.
Round 2
Pick 22 ESS - Alex Witherden - Great rebounding half back who will do good for the Bombers
Pick 23- BRIS - Shai Bolton - A quick and exciting player who will give outside run to the Lions
Pick 24- BRIS - Zac Fisher - Hard at it midfielder who will fit the lions well.
Pick 25- STK - Cedric Cox - half back flanker who will add run to a St. Kilda defence
Pick 26- GEE - Jordan Ridley - Gives run off half back like Cox and will replace Enright
Pick 27- CAR - Todd Marshall - A key forward exactly what the Blues need and will fit in well at the Blues once he develops
Pick 28- WB - Willem Drew - A great up and coming inside midfielder.
Pick 29- RICH - Josh Battle - Key forward who will replace Vickery in a Tigers forward line
Pick 30 COLL - Brennan Cox - Help the pies with their Key Defender depth, good size and an improving FB.
Pick 31- ESS - Jack Graham - A bull in the midfield who will suit the Bombers well.
Pick 32- PORT - Josh Rotham - Fits the Power well as gives depth to a weak Power defence.
Pick 33- PORT - Dylan Clark - A contested ball beast who wins the ball and gets it forward.
Pick 34- NTH - Jonty Scharenberg - Another contested ball winner who will do well alongside Jack Ziebell and Swallow.
Pick 35- NTH - Patrick Kerr - Another Key Forward who is a strong mark and will be North's replacement for Petrie.
Pick 36- WCE - Luke Bunker - More contested ball winning midfielders which will do well for an ageing WCE midfield, Bunker will receive experience and tips alongside two Brownlow medalists Priddis and Mitchell.
Pick 37:FRE- BID on Jacob Allison (BL Match)
Pick 38- BRIS - Jacob Allison - 194cm's and can play anywhere, great fit for the Lions.
Pick 39- FRE - Taylin Duman - 193cm utility which can be a flanker, outside player or key position, a good fit for Freo.
Pick 40 STK - BID on Isaac Cummins (GWS don't Match) - Midfielder who will do well for the Saints, GWS academy player who probably wont be matched.
Pick 40- GEE - Luke Ryan - Mature aged recruit who will fall around this point, feel he will do well for the Cats.
Pick 41- FRE - BID on Ryan Garthwaite (GWS don't match) - Key defender who will do well for the Dockers
