jumping on luke power

Gia was on this weeks dream team episode
he was saying that the lack of time he has spent in the mildfield is costing him points.
He's reassured me that he's worth keeping after saying he's going to try and get more points by getting more kicks, tackles etc.. good enough for me.
Yeah I saw that but reading the way he said it I thought the comments were more about being on the show than serious. I thought the little remark about blaming it on a role change was quite telling. What do you guys think?

Power is a machine and should be in every single team.
Haha this is why you'll never be good at DT.

Everyone get on boar the Luke Power bandwagon. Please.

I've posted this in another thread, well along similar lines.

Alot of dreamteam coaches are ditching Rischitelli for Power. Power is just slightly more expensive than Rischitelli at the moment.

Rischitelli has been averaging 85.6 this season, and that will only improve as the season progresses, he hasn't played many games and will only get better as the season continues, so expect that to be in the 90's by seasons end.

Power has averaged very well in the past few years, this could well be his year where he dosen't preform very well. So why are people trading out Rischitelli for Power? Your'e risking a 90 average (at least) for Power, whos best from previous years is maybe behind him, so maybe a few points here and there, and overall will cost you 1 trade.

Thats just my opinion on it, by the way I do have Rischitelli in my side, by seasons end he won't have to be upgraded as he would have upgarded himself.
I agree i wouldn't do riska for power, i'm looking to upgrade Tambling.

Yeah you are right about that, i've watched him play last 2 weeks. off the top of my head he got 86 or something agaisnt richmond where he played half of the game up forward, where he scored shit all. In the second half he was moved to the midfield where he was picking stacks of cheap marks and kicks.
Last week he had 3 very low scoring quarters where most of the time he was playing in a defensive role up foward, and had a huge 3rd quarter when he was moved back into midfield.
so yeh... not sure what kind of role he'll play this year, probally be determined by certain match ups each week.
I'm however going stick with him and hope it pays off... not very confident tho

i whole heartedly agree. if rischittelli isnt injured and is still scoring highly and consistantly, why waste a trade? IMO you should only trade a player if you are substancially upgrading them (i.e kosi to jono brown) or the player is injured. trading fit players for fit players of around the same calibre and maybe averaging 10 points higher is an absolute waste. when you have had 10 injuries in your team like i have, you can't help but laugh when ppl tell you they are trading fit consistant players for another fit and consistant player who is averaging 10 points more and is 30k more.

do people thing a marc murphy to power upgrade is worth the use of a trade?

im thinking of doing this, beecause i can't see murphy having too many big scores whereas power is capable.

I have changed my mind on trading Rischitelli. you are right about the injuries. If I had had 4-5 injuries this year I would be holding onto my remaining trades like gold, but just because I haven't (yet) doesn't mean I should be flippant with my trades.

Got the same dilema mate. I think i might do the trade.

VB has been good, I'm keeping him. He's still rising in value. :)

Thanks I will hold VB. I think I might do a double trade and upgrade Gibbs to Power. I am reluctant to trade Gibbs as he will play every game this year and as such is great cover for injuries, even better than Hadley and Selwood.

My current mid field is

Judd , Lappin
Kerr , Van B
Rist & (Gibbs/Hadley/Selwood)

I don't even have Gibbs. Has Hadley's prise risen yet, or has he only played 2 games? I could pick him up before he goes up but I'm not sure who to trade out. My midfield:

Hasleby, Rischitelli, Murphy, VB, Selwood, Hodge (Higgins, Thomas).

I want Power, but unsure who to trade out.

I thought Power's role had changed this year and isn't running as free on the ball any more due to the return of form in Black and the improvement of Risca?

Any Brissy supporter able to confirm that?
