Of course they have a say. We were on the verge of collapsing as a footy club a few years back until the AFL stepped in.

Like we are the only AFL club to have had issues. Nearly ever club other than WC hav been in shitters ditch financially at some point.

Bloody awful if he is the only one who takes the heat and admits he is the sole cause of the failure while Kochie swans around unscathed. He really is a decent bloke, and not an egotist like his Chairman appears to be.

The only mistake KT has really made is that he let a coach pretty much demand a contract extension when it wasn't earnt, and signed him.

No individual is above the club KT and you let Ken be above the club and extended a contract to a coach of an underperforming team.

If a coach cannot get things right this far down the track then they will never get it right.

This team should have been a constant finals contender yet they have not been. So much wasted talent.

Between Ken saying "finals is a minimum" and KT coming out with this, to me there feels like there is just no way that if we don't make the 8 that Ken is there next year.

Yep, KT has expressly said that they're listening to the members and he will fix this.

Crucially, he's taken personal responsibility.

FWIW I think the email was alright and better than silence. However it's all about action.

Send this email and fail to take transparent corrective action and things will be 1000x worse. Supporters will burn the ******* club down.

The issue will be their corrective action will not be what we want, and as such will get the appropriate response.

It looks like more empty platitudes but crucially, KT takes personal responsibility to achieve the will of the members.

Now he has to follow through and fix it or the supporter discontent goes nuclear. I'm talking a "nobody attend round 1" type public campaign. Force them out.

KT is doing a good job overall. I have no problem with him staying. Also, I can’t understand why Port supporters would not like Koch, because I believe he saved us and we would probably have folded by now without him.

It would be refreshing if Ken would admit his mistakes but he seems to have problems doing so. At least KT has manned up.
