This guy had a pretty lethal kick, maybe you could give him a call since you are mates NF.

If we had Chuck in the coaches box, would any of our team be alive after the first three rounds ??

I notice chuck only needs one leather glove...

Why outsource. Do a slow motion front/ side/ rear breakdown of Hazelby's action, coach it into everyone. Then do the same with Pav and Mundy's. Then take all of the players to the shrink and see who has what it takes upstairs to perform under pressure.

That is the problem with coaches they try to change a guys action.

They have had the same action since they were little kids its too hard too teach them a new way to kick.
Each players need to be looked at seperately and tweaked for better results without completely changing there action.
If they have to think about what there doing when they go kick to a teammate in a game under high pressure there is going to be massive problems.
Kicking is an action they shouldnt have to think about it.

That must be why they find it so much easier to teach an irish guy whos never touched an AFL before how to kick an in a few months there very good kicks.
Yet guys that have played AFL for years an years never become good kicks.

Palmer isnt a terrible kick but every now an then he does shank 1 badly.
Now the media has got to him an coaches have stuffed around with his action.
Hes getting too scared to kick coz of all the criticism and when he does kick hes thinking too much instead of just doing.

Same problem with tarrant and richardson an reiwoldt.
There pretty good kicks in open play but when they get infront of goals they start thinking too much and then stuff it up.

In juniors they need to teach a number of alternate techniques and get the learning player to coach these techniques into another player, this would give them a better understanding of the fine skills breakdown and prepare them better to adapt to new techniques at the professional level.

To expect players to keep the basic technique they learnt as a junior is a suggestion that we need better skills coaches in the junior ranks, but I think the best solution is to make them more versatile learners.
