My brother wants to put this up. And he really knows what he is talking about and has some friends with the inside word.

1. Melbourne: Jack Watts
2. West Coast: Daniel R$ch
3. Fremantle: Jack Ziebell
4. Port Adelaide: Nicholas Natanui
5. Essendon: Michael Hurley
6. Carlton: Hamish Hartlett
7. Brisbane: Chris Yarran
8: Richmond: Tyrone Vickery

HE also says that Jordan Lisle is the most over-rated player and teams should stay away at all cost.

Yes, all viable.

Looking forward to hearing people's top 50.

Top 8's etc are always the same names thrown in a different order.

Small forwards don't get picked up in the top ten, and usually not in the first round.

Rioli, Thomas, Didak to name three off the top of my head

No Chance Freo will pass on Nick Nat.
Port Want Harlett if NAT not available.
ESS need a Def KPP with The Retirement of Micheal and Fletchers old, They will take Hurley.
Carlton are looking for another Ruck/forward option as Kruezer is going to play as in the Ruck More and More they May take Vickery but more likely to take McKernan.
Brissy: will take either Ziebell or DeBoer(Black clone) as there mids aare ageing.
Richmond will get the best of whats available- either Vick,Ziebell,Mckernan or Sidebottom.

Thats how it will pan out and you shoulda put this in the other 100 differant top 10 pick threads.

Good work - Ziebell to Freo is an interesting move, first time in a bloody long time they would have recruited a big body inside midfielder with good disposal.

Exactly top 7 names are all the same just thrown around a little. I've got my first 3 rounds pretty much finished (with a few picks still undecided), gets very tough when you hit the 3rd round i can assure you that.

Yes but they can all play mid too, but yarran could develop into midfielder as well so meh. It doesn't matter what position u play as long as ur good enough though.

Would it be fair comparing Yarran with Leon Davis?? Seems like Yarran is more of a crumber type at the moment, with potential to play around half forward and even push into the midfield. Sounds alot like Leon

Why do you say that?

We've apparently spent quite a bit of time speaking to Hartlett (presumably Ziebell as well) and Harvey says he wants to bolster the midfield. How does anyone know that we rate Nat as the best?

My understanding is that several Freo officials have declared Naitanui as the standout player this year.

However, my gut feeling is that Hartlett will be at Freo next year [at this stage anyway, and assuming that Rich goes to WC].

I reckon he would be a very very good selection for Freo. Would compliment the young group of mids you are developing very nicely.

Justin Longmuir who is doing some recruiting work for us said on 6pr last week, he seriously doubts Nic will be there for us to pick...

It's all very interesting.

Can't help but feel there's a bit of ducks and drakes being played at the moment.

I really can't see WC taking Nic. I also can't really see Melbourne taking such a punt.

Perhaps JLO said that last week when he anticipated finishing 4th last?

No, this was when we were 3rd bottom.

The thing with Natanui is he could be a perfect foilf for Cox...also gives presnce at the contest and you can trade Seaby :thumbsu:...and we can pick up Hartlett or Zeibell

Well my gut feeling is saying no to Nic for WC, especially now that we've signed up another ruckman via NSW scholarship.
