It's baaaaaaaack! As promised the Knockout Bowling Competition has returned for the Finals stage of the 2003 Cricket World Cup. St-Kris won the Pool Group Knockout Competition and for that he is given a free life (he can be knocked out ONCE but can return). Everyone is free to enter - you didn't have to play in the first series to join this one.
How It Works
You must select a player who you think will take one wicket or more from the selected team in the nominated game. If your player claims a wicket or more, you stay in and continue. If your player doesn't take a wicket, you are knocked out. If your player doesn't play in the game, you are also knocked out.
The winner is the last person left standing and will receive the special BigFooty World Cup trophy.
There will be a nominated game every couple of days with a new thread posted with the names of those still in the competition. The cut off for posting your players is before the first ball is bowled in each match and no editing posts is allowed (otherwise you will appear before the BigFooty corruption panel)
The first game is: Australia vs New Zealand
The selected team for this game is New Zealand
My chosen bowler: Chris Cairns
