I'm a bit conflicted on this one
On one hand, I would agree with pretty much everything Tredrea says football wise.
On the other hand. He's ... weird.
His odd Covid stance, decision making acumen and risk assessment type skill says he probably isn't the best person for what is a reasonably powerful position. Ex players without much experience in senior management roles can make a right mess of things.
Id prefer he be a forward line development coach or something.
As an aside. He's still better than J.Brown.

This is bullshit and just shows how brazen Koch is getting now. I don't agree with Tredders on everything but he's a man of principle who knows footy. Koch is only adding cronies and people who don't care to the board.
Tredders would usher in much needed honesty, conviction, character, & foresight, which is pretty much everything Koch has failed to deliver since he crowned himself President of the club. I’d rather trust a man who is willing to sacrifice his entire career for what he believes in, than a man who will say anything to save his own skin.

Another possibility is Erin Phillips if she decided to retire at the end of the next AFLW season. I think she'd have a very good chance of beating Tredders.

He has done absolutely nothing outside of football. Played football until he was 30. Leveraged his profile into a Sports presenter job/ media career. Has had no coaching or high performance experience. He has absolutely nothing to offer outside of being a 'loud voice' and having 'name recognition'. Basically, a Donald trump. People want to slag off David Koch, but do you think it's curious we started getting sponsors several tiers above 'MyATM' around the time he came on. We have absolutely benefitted from his media profile even if he is a w***er. The formation of a board is about putting together a matrix of skills and ensuring that everyone brings something highly specialized. Tredrea brings nothing. If it is football knowledge and success, there are a swath of magpie and Power players/ coaches/ etc that are of high standing. If it is loyal, 'popular' Port Men, Abertnathy or Tim Ginever fit the bill. Some of the nuffies on here think that wanting Hinkley gone is enough. If that is the case, you might as well appoint Papa G.

You are correct that the club is more stable off field since Koch took charge (although as has been pointed out many times before, some of the things that have made this the case were already in train before Koch arrived).
The concern that many have on this forum is that under Koch's leadership the club has moved further and further away from what might be regarded as the traditional Port Adelaide way of doing things. This would include things like the ruthless pursuit of success, not accepting mediocrity and striving to be the best. A lot of people see the leadership of the club - ie the board and executive - and notice that none of them have ever played for the club or been a part of the club in any serious capacity during the times in which it has been successful. This leads to the question of whether the club has lost a significant part of its identity and, if so, what could be done to regain it.
Tredrea is a Port Adelaide person. He grew up supporting the club, his father played for the club, he played for the club, he captained the club to its only premiership this millennium. He was also a tough, driven, single minded campaigner of a player who played exactly the way Port Adelaide supporters expect their team to play. He knows what the club needs to do to be successful because he's lived it. If you want to dismiss this fact based on the idea that he's 'just an ex player' then go for it, but most people are going to believe that he has value to add.

I'm kinda mixed on the idea too though. To me anyone who was antivax/antimask .... leaves some big question marks as to their thought processes. But he is a club legend and he bleeds black and white.

I was supposed to be the 2nd last question, talked about our fitness and medical program, and KT said to Baz handing out the microphone, no keep going, we will take questions until everyone has asked their question.
Lets see if Koch can do that.

Isnt it funny how when they all came on they fixed a bunch of little things like members nights, more transparency etc.
Then after they fixed the obvious any dullard could do, they ran out of ideas and regressed.
Very limited.
Members have certainly been treated with less and less respect, and has gone off a cliff since KT left. Hitting rock bottom with members being shut out of the B&F until the uproar. What a shocking representation of where members sit with this leadership team.
There is no way KT would have even let that idea be floated I don't feel.
There is zero chance of Koch doing that.
