Seems him and the saints getting a bit disillusioned with this former no.2 draft pick. Would he be the ideal pick-up for us? He could share ruck duties with hampson; while kreuzer can develop in the forward line, and cloke for depth to cover injuries?

He'd become our CHF if we were to snapple him up

However i can just imagine St.Kilda wanting way over the price for him.

I'd be wary of that as well. Plus a couple of other issues - injuries, and his general awareness out on the ground. Still, i'd imagine the club would make an inquiry about him.

The only place Kosi looks comfortable on the field is at Full Forward, where he doesnt have to think about what needs to be done.

Therefore Fev>>>>>Kosi

Therefore no thanks, as St. Kilda would want an arm and a leg for him

he is an elite player when fully confident, id cream myself if we got him.. a move away from stkilda might just do wonders to kosi

Started a similar thread a couple weeks back - if he can get his mobility back, he would be very handy up forward. His leading is nowhere near where it was - as the Ox said, he just doesn't get to enough contests. If he were able to improve that aspect of his game (back to where it was ~2004) I'd love him at Carlton.

Saints would want too much for him and rightly so ..but he would be a risk IMO..as others have said he is injury prone and has tunnel vision.

so for me that would be a pass.

he's just not THAT good.

Exactly right. Everyone seems to rate him because he's big and tall and skillful, but completely disregard the fact that he's virtually NEVER DONE ANYTHING.

It makes sense the Saints would be getting disillusioned with him (if in fact they are) because he's pretty much a waste of space and i'm sure they're paying him plenty.

I would trade 3rd round draft pick for him nothing less

I don't want our club to go through banged up recycled players anymore - we should be aiming at finals in 2009 (if we don't make it this year!!!) and then the 2010 flag and hence should develop our young list - keep playing players like Hampson and also get Jake Edwards and Adam Hartlett back in the team and giving them more of a go up forward maybe?

Kosi's 25 atm, turning 26 in Sep and will be turning 27 by the end of next season - in 2010 he's injuries would be catching up with the big fella - no thanks. :thumbsd:

Could be a good foil for Fev when the long ball comes in. Fev lacks a bit of height and can struggle at times when left to mark the ball in a standing contest. Especially against 3 defenders. Could be a lead up with Kosi staying closer to the the square.

Would be worth the punt on the proviso he came cheaply enough. Either way, our forward line needs a goal kicking HFF and another strong mark.

We already have Hartlett filling the "always injured, overrated, producing little......but very promising" CHF role.

Would much rather keep the first rounder they will demand and get the best young forward and develop him ourselves.

I wonder if these people who declare he is worth no more than a 2nd round pick - are the same people who wanted a 1st rounder for Thornton.

We have to face it, Kosi is a freak of a player - who will fill 2 voids for us (playing as a mature bodied ruckman, and playing as a target CHF/FF that rotates with Fev).

Injuries aside - I don't think I've ever seen the bloke put in a bad performance and I think the benefits that come with having him in our side (as a ruckman, chf with experience) would outweight the negatives associated with him.

Id be willing to be that Kosi would thrive in our environment - which it would be fair to say is far more proffessional set up than what the Saints currently have on offer.

I personally would welcome him to the Blues with open arms, and I hate to sound like a broken record - but for the 500th time, If we want to get someone of quality - we have to give up something of quality not only to get the deal across the line, but to maintain a strong trading relationship with other clubs.

St Kilda would laugh at our offer of a 2nd round pick.
