sounds good, will probably only play half a game. Hopefully he still has his leap, running ability and confidence.

I think he will have none of those things.

As a fellow ruckman, I have just come off a 6 week hamstring injury and didn't have any of those things in my first couple of games back.

This kid is coming off an 11-month knee reco.

He is going to take some time.

Oh god, awesome, I'll be watching the reviews and/or footage if I can if he plays with great interest. Won't expect too much but I love this guy.

This is simply wonderful news, and should be more than enough to put a smile on the face of every single Carlton supporter across the nation.

I think that some people, Carlton supporters or otherwise, just did not, and still do not, understand just how much we lost as a playing group when Kreuzer went down.

On that particular evening we just about lost the heart and soul of the Carlton Football Club. The change within the playing group from before Kreuz did his knee, to after it, was just incredible, and clear for all to see. For a number of weeks we were completely flat, our desire went down with Kreuz, as did our 2nd, 3rd and 4th efforts.

Lenny Hayes going down earlier this season seems to have had the same effect on St Kilda who seem to have, at least thus far, struggled to come to grips with the fact that he is not out there.

I just can't wait to see Kreuz back out in the middle of the park. Of course we must be mindful that it will take him a while to get back to his best (if he ever does get there) and we must be patient whilst he regains the confidence in himself and his abilities, that make him just about the most respected Carlton player of them all.

We learned a heap from the Waite incident where we may have rushed him back and we are clearly taking our time with Kreuz. It is almost painful to have to wait for his return but the knowledge that it is in the best interests of both club and player makes it easier for me to wait.

I hope we do not expect him to dominate, and I hope he does not expect anything else from himself other than slow and continuous progress. We will not see the best of Matthew Kreuzer in 2012, far from it - but just having him out there will no doubt improve us as a team, an infinite amount.

Welcome back big fella :thumbsu:

I wonder if I can find coverage in Qld or a stream or something. Will be good to see him take those first tentative steps back.

Firstly, and i hope i`m not going too far here, Kruezer is back! He is an absolute monster and took part in all the competitive work.
One drill had him as the main target forward in heavy congestion and his leap and marking was superb. They were trying to give Watson some contest experience against him but Special K towelled him. He will cause havoc up forward upon his return which must be close judging by tonight. He was taken away by Capuana for instruction towards the end.

Not a bad leap once you take into account the fact that Watson is 196 cms tall.

Will only play a half.

/\ Kreuzer is 200cm. Probably helps when you are 4cm taller than your opponent.

Nevertheless MASSIVELLY STOKED for his return

P.S. Do people still say stoked? I may be a little out of date on that one

To think that he set his sights on a rd 1 return, gotta love his desire to play!

It will be great to see him out on the park on Saturday. I'll have to tape it and watch it after my footy.

His long arm span would help too, but I'm just stoked (:D) to see him off the ground like that and touching up Watson at this stage of his recovery, as odd as that sounds.

Great news for the club to have Kreuzer taking his first steps back into AFL footy. Give him about a month or so with the Ants, and if he gets through all of the games, then i'd get him back into the Carlton team..

This week - Half a game
Next week - 3/4 of a game
Week 3 - Full game
Week 4 - Full game

Sounds good to me HBF, he should be abletk find some touch without the pressure of being rushed into the team. Although I feel he will push himself to get back and may get back slightly early.

Players are returning from knee reco's a lot better than they were 10 years ago and I look at Waite and sometimes forget that he has actually had a reco as well. He hasn't lost anything IMO.

Other than a few brain fades, you are right. :thumbsu::D
