Relax mate, he knows if he smiles at a camera it renders it useless. Just let him have the odd bender, we all need it.

Getting pissed on one evening doesn't affect your fitness base.As long as it doesn't ruin his fitness base and he is all ready to go in January then i suppose it isn't to bad. yet if i was a coach and got light of this story i would tell him to pull his head in a little, at least be home by 12-1, cause we don't need anymore trouble.

Why is it disappointing ? The bloke is a human being. He is entitled to a break. The thing about professional sportsmen is that when they go home after 8 hrs at their office, they can't eat crap or drink. Here is a bloke who has some time off so lets his hair down and some tool says it's disappointning. You're even more of a waste of space for mentioning it. If I didn't know bettter I'd say you were some D grade journalist trying to crack it into the media by reporting a ridiculous story because a Collingwood player is involved. If I was to go to the media with everything that I saw at the Tunnel at the early 90's then there would've been a lot of players sacked. Let these blokes have some sort of private life and leave stories like this where they belong, 10 years time at a mates barbie. Believe me, early 90's at the Tunnel, 3AM, feet sticking to the carpet, AFL footballers were doing stuff that would get them sacked these days. And it wasn't because they were dancing on the piano.

but its not really acceptable because it was only 4-5 months ago this club was thrown into turmoil over alcohol-related issues.
Ryan, you've got it all wrong, and I feel duty bound to set the record straight.
Rocca was not drunk the other night, he was just over-excited because the ROCCAdemption thread had just won an award at the BigFooty Annual Awards, which took place that very evening - check the stickied thread if you need proof.
A few of us buddy reporters were out celebrating, and some BF posters who have strong links to the club (one even trains with the players) arranged for Rocca to join us for a drink.
When I say drink, let me make it perfectly clear that when Rocca was offered a drink he said; "I'll have whatever my buddy reporter's having"
She was having a diet tonic water with blackberry cordial, and that's precisely what Rocca drank for the entire night.
If anyone persists in suggesting otherwise, I will take it as a personal slur. I trust the matter is now closed.

I know footballers probably do this all the time but I couldn't help but feel disappointed to see it personally. Probably a nothing thread.

Last night I saw a footballer drunk, an accountant with a hooker, a lawyer doing some toot in the bathroom, a journo hitting on an underage boy, a fireman wearing womens underwear and a politician doing all of the above.
Who freaking cares?
Footballers like everyone else need to let their hair down. I hate these Brad-heads feeling the need to pass on every sighting of an AFL footballer and then passing judgement.
RTM....were your mates drunk? Had they had a few too many? Why were you out so bloody late? Shouldn't you have been home at 12-1am? Did you tell Anth how disappointing it was to see him enjoying his Xmas break? Would you rather he was at home studying game tape of Matthew Scarlett?
Seriously....its freaking Xmas. Let the man out. No drugs, no drink driving, no grabbing women, no fighting......makes a for very good Xmas break.
^were you the lawyer doing some toot in the bathroom?
