play a milestone game at WC and get a chair

Looking for players that got chaired off that you almost laughed at and couldnt believe it. 100 games for an average player, 150-200 games for a guy at multiple clubs.

I am sure we can find examples of the least deserving chair after a milestone.

Rudy got chaired after 1 game as sub with 1/2 a sack

200 games is where a player should be chaired off

Anything less is a bit over the top unless there is extenuating circumstances (say a player gets to 150 for a club where he has had multiple long term injures that have held him back)

Dont mind 300 for a top liner who has been at a club for a a year or two

The chairing off/guard of honour has been well overdone for at least a decade now.

Shit thread. Only 31% of players make it to just 50 games, so any milestone is an incredible achievement worthy of a chair.

I remember Jezza getting chaired off after his FIRST GAME as captain-coach in 1978 at Victoria Park after an upset win, to loud boos as the Carlton players waved and lolled at us, very provocative
