Obvious toasty here, but it had to be done! Of all the people who needed to stand up in a big last quarter, who would have expected it to be the Anvil? Tried his guts out, worked for it, and then executed perfectly. Absolutely top notch, and it reflects brilliantly on how we operate as a team.

You can stifle Swan, you can stifle Pendles, you can even stifle Dids, but you can't stifle 22 top quality players who work as a fantastic unit.

Said it on gameday thread and it bears repeating - you can't keep 22 hard at it players covered for 100% of the game, first Blair pops up for a lazy 5 a few weeks ago and now Leroy. Footscray gave it their all for 3 quarters but just could keep it up. Depth depth depth.

Has to almost be a single career highlight, I don't know whether the great man has kicked a goal with such class and poise, and under circumstances that required him to do so.

His few minutes of brilliance sealed the game for us, in fact it took us from a side on the brink of defeat, to a side ensured of victory.

Leeroy was great tonight, good for 3 quarter I thought, and just awesome in the last quarter, that set shot goal from 45 reminded me of the goal he kicked against Sydney in Sydney last year, another match defining moment.

Many clubs are trying to build a Leigh Brown, it's impossible, there's only one of him.
