Hayes is a gun... many people forget he was absolutely killing it before his knee reco... Hard tackler, gives his all along with L Ball one of the few that truely bleed for the saints.
Foley a great year last year... excellent jets, flashy breaks from the centre square... but a little bit of a 1 trick pony.

Hayes is a better player, but Foley's got youth on his side.
If I had Pick #1 in the PSD and both were in there, I'd take Foley, given how much younger he is.

Lenny.. bloody hard decision though
axel foley gets my vote... not because of bias but because lenny gets help from a decent team if axel had a decent team he would be even better

The question is "Who would you rather Lenny Hayes or Nathan Foley ??", and there are two different answers to that, depending if it's for one game or for the rest of their careers.
Well yeah, obviously I reckon Lenny is a better player. But Foley's got a lot longer left as others have mentioned. But if you wanted to win a flag today, you'd take Lenny.
Hopefully he's still got a few years at his peak.

Lenny Hayes is more experienced. Foley has still got plenty of room for improvement and will look better once Richmond improve. ATM Lenny Hayes is a better player but I think Foley will be seen as better after both have retired.
