He will then become a RFA , So you will need very very deep pockets and im talking $6mill/5 years range
So that puts us way out of the ball park

This is actually not a bad idea,But not sure Brisbane would really take him and they would know better than any team due to leppa of his issue's. But i would love to move him onto either StKilda or Melbourne who he would really suit Daniel Markworth (stkilda) Jimmy Toumpas (melbourne) would be suitable trades as both these kids are highly talented outside players that could come good at Tigerland

This is the exact player that we really need at tigerland, He becomes a free agent next year and we should be right in his ear that he is the only player we need to take us to the next level and he will be our Gary Ablett Jnr, Sell him the dream that he 'WILL' Play in a flag at RFC and all our players are in position and we just missing him, Also give him $2.5Million for 4 years (He is woth that and at Richmond he will be a monster in the midfield)

Yep and u can blame Damien for that, he refuses to give others game time. Dea should b in the side everyday of tr week over Morris. Morris goes hard at it but this year he was a massive liability.

I agree with the Morris concern but to me, Dea just is meh and isn't the same player to defend those small fwds. Isnt quick enough and at times seems to be a dear in the headlights. He may be able to play Newy's position but not Morris's.

What can we do though? Who's really out there that is going to push us to top 4? Sure players like montagna will be an upgrade, these types of players might help, but they aren't going to sky rocket us into a premiership contender. As above posters have said, we still have too many battlers and too many players who crumble once there is any intensity. We really need to hope another pre-season really accelerates the development of some of our players or above posters have said we will languish around 5-8 till our window disappears. Deledio will be 28 next year, Jack 27, Cotch 25, Ivan 29, Rance 26, but late next year. These are our most important players. Some people say five years?? These players will all be hitting 30. Our window is the next 2-3 years. Even the great Ricky Petterd will turn 27 next year. God help us when he retires.

Unfortunately north are ahead of us now, when we were once pretty even (this might change after Petrie and Harvey retire). But they are one game off a grand final appearance right now. Port have clearly over taken us. Next will be Gold coast.

A decent key position signing and the bulldogs will be as well. Carlton and Essendon are about the same as us on their day. We can't be fooled by the 9 on the trot. Hardwick needs to nail this trade period , draft period and pre season . I would pull the trigger now as everything is in it's place everywhere else at Tigerland now. The new coach could come in and have an instant impact. Gale has done a wonderful job setting us up in every department. Obviously Dimma has too but there are better coaches out there I'm sure of that.

We just delisted out whole 2009-2010 mid to late picks and they hardly got a chance to show us what they were capable of . Of your not a first round pick you will not get a game at Tigerland. If we get rid if the dead wood circumstance will dictate they will and Wowee won't we be surprised by the results.

Yeah that Darrou kid hasn't pulled his weight in the VFL for 3 years. Glad we got a look at him before we delisted him. OHanlons 7 games as sub where fantastic which gave him plenty of time to show off his wares. The club shits it's pants at the selection table trying to make the 8 when we should be walking in there with the players at our disposal. ( all our players )

Would of liked to for sure. Not everyone can debut like Grimes and Miles. Do you remember Alex Rances first 3 years , omg woeful.

We delist kids like Darrou, O'Hanlon,Helbig but hold onto Newman,Hampson,Knights,Thomas - Which out of the 4 remaining players offer us anything going foward. All 3 of the delisted kids really never got a decent shot at it & I wouldnt mind if they were rookie listed

My problem is looking where our goals come from next year i have at us at about 230-240 goals depending on Ty. Hawthorn is at about 360, Sydney at 330 and Port 280-290. Taking Jack out puts us back 60 goals straight away, when we really need to be finding more avenues to goal. It's why i want Garlett so much because he instantly adds 30+ goals.

I think there are question marks on his application and disposal . In saying that would be the perfect fit at our club. With 6 talls going earlier in the year it might be best to just grab one ourselves over O'Rourke . Shiel is a different story.

P.s there has been injuries so we should acknowledge that with O'Rourke as well and maybe not be so hard .
