Like, Hate, Indifferent

Interested to see what teams supporters of other teams either like, hate or are indifferent to.

I guess the only way of properly doing this is to see how you would feel about other teams winning a premiership.

List in order the teams you like....

Like (Would be happy if they won the premiership)

1. Eagles (Duh!)
2. Sydney - Would be great for the game and ive always liked them
3-4. Bulldogs - Saints - Felt a bit sorry for them with the merger talks and lack of money to survive a few years ago and the fact that they havent won in so long.
5. Geelong - They havent won in ages too - and gotta feel a bit for those GF losses (cept the eagles )

Indifferent

6. Melbourne - There own fans seem indifferent sometimes too
7. Kangas - Guess i like them but they won a bit in the 90's
8. Brisbane - Few years ago they woulda been about 2nd on this list - but now its time for someone else
9. Tigers - Dont really like or hate them for any reason... but seeing them finish 9th is always fun
10. Hawks - Could have been higher but they beat us in a GF goddamnit! Won enough in the 70's + 80's to keep em going for a while longer.
11. Carlton - Good mate is a carlton fan so thats probably the only thing that kept em in indifferent.
12. Port - S.A. team which kinda says it all, but deserve to be higher than the crows.
13. Crows - Won a few flags, and now they have Carey - borderline hate team.

Could Die Happily Knowing They Never Win Another Flag Again - ie HATE

14. Collingwood - Its almost too easy to love to hate these guys. Eddie makes it all that much more easy.
15. Essendon - You guys suck. End of Story!
16. Freo - Very obvious reasons.

We certainly don't suck when it comes to kicking the Coasters butts out of finals series, but I guess we might suck at waving our jackets - we've done it so many times our arms are getting tired.

When you post crap like that about certain teams what do you expect?
Basically I think most supporters will say that if they don't support Collingwood, Essendon or Carlton then they'll probably hate them because they are the biggest teams & they'll also have soft spots for teams like Stkilda, Bullies & North because they've been longtime underdogs.

North have won 2 premierships in the last 10 years i don't think they're full on underdogs just yet - only on a game by game basis

1. Eagles - Obvious
2. Kangaroos - Battling club... always give their all.
3. Hawthorn - Respect. Always respected them in the 80's and 90's. Never arrogant.
4. Richmond - I feel a little sorry for Richmond... brother is a Richmond supporter and i'd love to hear their song on Grand Final Day
5. Western Bulldogs - Battlers... would like to see them win a flag.. would mean everything to their supporters.

6. Melbourne - Couldnt care much either way... only turned off because the few supporters they have seem arrogant.
7. Carlton - I'd like to see them at the bottom for a few more years yet. Had no respect when Elliott was there... but respect has grown since he was given the boot.
8. Geelong - Used to be my 2nd fav team... I'd have them up higher... except that the only thing I love better than watching a team I like win the flag... is seeing a team who are serial chokers lose another flag. It adds to the mystique. I'd like to see them make the GF and lose another one.
9. Collingwood - Dont have much to do with their supporters so dont really hate them... like Geelong would love to see them choke again.
10. Brisbane - Don't deserve another flag because of their concessions but really who cares whether its 3 or 4. Their premierships are already tainted.

11. Port Adelaide - Choke factor. I want them to lose every preliminary final for the next 20 years.
12. Sydney - Bandwagon... concessions.. salary cap... you name it. I never want this club to win a flag.
13. Adelaide - I remember 97 and 98 like it was yesterday. It wasn't so much Adelaide stole 2 flags they didn't deserve... but I remember them being particularly crap those years.... yet somehow they won the flag. If that wasnt bad enough though their supporters pounced like they were the greatest team of all time. It was sickening and I hope they never win a flag again in my lifetime.
14. Essendon - Scum. Used to be one of my most respected sides. I now have them down the bottom. I'm tired of Sheedy's antics.... I hate the prettyboy Lloyd... and I can't stand the fact the Cry baby whinging whining bitch James Hird got a slap in the wrist for calling an umpire a cheat. They deserve nothing but heartache.
15. Fremantle - Their supporters. Enough said. They are the feral underclass of Perth.
16. St Kilda - One look through these forums is enough reason as to why I hate St Kilda. Their supporters are arrogant and abusive both on this forum and in real life... and at the slightest hint of success they jump on the bandwagon and can't stop telling everyone how great they are. This is only inflamed by the fact they were so poorly mismanaged for so long that they were handed draftpicks on a plate. They deserve to rot in hell.

Sorry, I meant in terms of support. Even though they were probably the best team of the 90's they haven't been able to establish a significant supporter base & so have been in financial trouble & therefore not hated like the richer clubs seem to be.

Well they do suck!!! and mostly because of the reasons OB1 said. So yes he is right there - but thats not what im trying to get at.

Take Tigus - an Essendon supporter - he had West Coast at the top of indifferent but had Freo as Hate. I wouldnt have thought any Essendon fans would hate Freo over us but there you go....

Sydney- Paul Roos is a champ, like the way they play their footy.
Kangaroos- Seems to be everybody's second team
Geelong- Entertainingly bad, sympathy factor
Carlton- Used to hate them, but pretty impressed with what Pagan has done with them, the ultimate underdogs right now.

brisbane - with a state their size they should have two teams.

Despise above all else: Essendon


Just my views. Have always hated Adelaide and Essendon and I no longer feel sorry for Collingwood. Brisbane and Geelong are my hate-teams of the moment.

Essendon - Used to hate them, but Paul Barnard has retired.
Fremantle - Beyond hatred for McPharlin, I feel nothing
Richmond - Our annual competitor for 9th spot.
West Coast - Rarely see them
Sydney - Ditto

HATE:
Collingwood
Port Adelaide - Choke. Wangerneen plaus for them.
Melbourne - Apathetic supporters are a joke. Think every player drafted is a superstar.
Kangaroos - Supporters have orgasms over average players. Irritating. Brent Harvey plays for them.

PITY:
St Kilda - Pathetic history. After years of culminating priority picks and putting together a decent side.

Geelong - when you grow up in a place (Southwest Vic) where just about everybody supports them, including almost your entire family, you learn to tolerate them, and hope they do well, so I've got a soft spot for them.
Kangaroos - have earnt a lot of respect from me lately

Adelaide - don't really like them, but don't hate them like the teams I've listed under hate
Fremantle - interstate, so they don't bother me
Hawthorn - used to like them, but got sick of feeling sorry for them
Melbourne - don't notice them
Port Adelaide - as for Adelaide
Richmond - as for Adelaide
Sydney - interstate, see Freo
St Kilda - as for Melbourne
West Coast - interstate
Western Bulldogs - as for Adelaide
