So with the additions of Hale and Cheney, who do we delist and how many picks will we use in the draft?

Taylor would have to be worried. Will Skipper stay? I think we will use 4 picks in this draft (19, 37, 54, 66).

Currently from the main list:

This means we need to delist at least two more just to use our picks if we do not upgrade any rookies, which I feel we might.

I think Bruest must be elevated given his form for Box Hill and a dearth of his type on the senior list. I would leave Skipper and Peterson (should he stay) where they are. Milne sounds very promising so would like to keep him on rookie list if possible. The rest can go (although as I don't watch Box Hill games I am only guessing - Sierakowski being the one I have most doubt about). This means we would need to delist three players.

Taylor, Dowler, Muston, Morton and Suclking are the most likely. On talent I would keep Dowler and Muston but I get the feeling that Dowler will go and two of Suckling, Muston and Morton will stay.

I really want to see us bring in some young talent through the draft so would not be against making another cut to the list depending on what we do with the NSW Scholarship holders.

Pretty much spot on except Morton must be gone. Perhaps Moss stays and Morton goes.

Moss could be handy around the goals and we will need him if Hoops is gone.

The rest have had a dream run at our club and Im amazed that some on that list have lasted as long as they have.

The 08 win has pretty much given a lot of thsoe players 2 years free run but it must change now.

clarko must make a prelim this year or will pay the price. Kennett will go out swinging and thats one thing we can count on.

It reflects pretty badly on where our list is at they everyone can find at 5 players on top of croad and brown and still be left with players that we would like to cut.

Rookie list: Keep skipper, Sierrakowski and peterson (if he wants to stay), prob get rid of rest

-Would like Dowler to be given another year but I'm pretty sure he won't be on our list - has bucketloads of talent but we (or he) can't seem to make the most of it
-I like muston over morton but the coaching staff seem to rate morton highly - just don't see the appeal - not quick, average field kick, no x-factor, plays outside. Morton is trying to be a 3rd defensive tall now - we have plenty of these and think milne is a more talented prospect anyway - if we upgrade milne surely morton is gone.
-I just don't see ladson adding much next year and will take the place of a youngster (but think he will stay)
-Does anyone think williams or duryea will be under pressure? Yes were only late picks but spent most of year in reserves while most young mids/runners can usually crack a game at afl level in their first year
-I still dont understand the Cheney pick - just dont see where he fits, especially with mahaoney meant to be a hardnosed small backman.

Williams is under pressure. Duryea should be fine. Williams needs to have a big pre-season and big year next season which i'm sure he is capable of doing.

I have not heard a lot about him. Is he worth a place on the list? He can be delisted if we wanted to but would have to honour his contract and include it in our salary cap.

Pretty spot on i think,

Though i like Moss and have heard the coaches love Suckling, not sure if either of these will ever become good AFL players.

I would rather Moss then Morton but i hear coaches love Morton for some reason as well. Morton is flexible and can play a few postions, so i guess thats whay they like him.

Gives us 4 picks - Watson ideal for 1st pick if available, I don't mind the sounds of Wilkinson, Lamb or Harper either. McCarthy (if he's still available) might be ok if they want to go KP.

Ladson, Taylor, Suckling, Williams and Duryea would want decent years next year.

Ditch most of the rookies except Milne and Skipper (and Peterson if he is interested). Not sure on Sierakowski.

Good point re Mossy. I've never rated Morton - error prone, and yeah he has played in various positions, but has he played any of them well?

ONE more chance
* Suckling (good skills, needs solid pre-season to bulk and add another dimension to his game)
* Muston (shows signs he may be getting over his horror run of 3 knee reco's, more versatile than any of the above).
* Ladson - I'm borderline on him, but I reckon we have too many players who are 'having a go' but skills let them down (eg. Morton, Tuck). Laddo is the opposite, so adds a bit extra if he can lift intensity.

Ok so shhhhhhhhh says up to five. Not much has changed for me. I think we will only see one or two upgrades and a bunch of cuts to accommodate the new blood.

Ladson is contracted in 2011 so no chance of being delisted.
He came off a bad injury in 2009 and was in and out of the side in 2010.
With a full pre season he will be a very handy player next season.

We have stuff all depth. We will really struggle if we get any injuries.

My mail on who is Gone is - Croad, Brown, Hooper, Tails, Dowler, Muston and Tuck. We vet list Changa. That leaves 5 Spots as a miminum. (less 2 in Hale and Cheney.)

Our good to go depth is Ladson, Shiels, and possibly Schoe.

Sucko, Morto, Savage,Lisle, Lowden may get a run but I do not expect any of them to play more than 5 games.

Of the rookies Milne, Bruest may get 1 to 5 games. Skipper is an insurance player only. Tuck, if fit, could play 22. Big IF, going by his body this year.

Would not shock me if Stokes gets drafted. Moss is limited but can play AFL standard. There are a few BHH guys who look OK but need time in the gym. The only one with size is Pederson and he is a tad slow for mine.
