one that was talked up pre-champs a bit by chris25 was sam coluqoun. has been smashing in his games for sa. high possesions, and a great kick. that last bit i like very very much. chris and knightmare seem to have him around the 2nd round.

Yeah was gonna mention him he's been great off half back and through the midfield

Toumpas certainly fills a need for us. Aish is under age. If boak does leave we could end up with a few sa guns.

I like the sound of Mayes. Sounds a bit live Stevie J

Toumpas would be number 1 out of that list. They said during the call he's got an injured hip that will require surgery straight after the carnival and he's still playing like a gun. I'd also be happy with Grundy or Kennedy.

we have all seen this kids class played a fair bit of sanfl already. port would snap him up, i reckon every team before us will consider him, so we will be lucky if they all pass, but that happened last year with wingard.if melb keep both 1st round picks ild expect a toumpas/ viney combo to be very very likely.

grundy-

i reckon gws are a sure sure thing to take grundy. as much as giles etc may be doing a pretty decent job i reckon they would just want a gun in every position and a great tap ruckman to feed that midfield.

mayes

is apparently a great kick. dont know about us taking him unless we are sold on him being a midfielder not a hff come midfielder. seems a regular 15-18 possesion ( but damaging possesions) kinda guy.

kennedy

love him to come to port. im not sure ild take him with such a high pick as ports first though. is too dominant to last to our 2nd. people seem to think 10-20 which seems logical.

coluqoun

halfback/ mid. been consistant over the champs ( stats wise just racks up so much of the ball). apparently a great reader of the play and very skilled by foot. talked as a 2nd round prospect.

guys like irra, stark, mcdonough, obrien , wallis and luccon to look for with late picks.

Matty "Plugger" McDonough has Paul Chapman written all over him, if he can push up to an onballer role as he develops a tank he could potentially be the best value in this SA side. Calhoqun is also a promising leg spin bowler representing SA at underage levels.

I still think Gartlett at our first pick (Toumpus and Grundy gone before we get a sniff), Calhoqun Second round, McDonough Third round, Warrell towards the back end of the draft.

#40 impressed me as a defender for the SA lads, was desperate and wasn't beaten.
