what would you guys expect in a trade for Lachie Sholl?
I'm possibly in the minority on here, but I quite like Sholl. Not the hardest at it but he's got good skills on both sides, will run all day, and even pop up with a goal. He'd be first 22 for you for at least a couple of years.

Do Richmond have any picks other than their two first rounders? I think Adelaide need to turn over the bottom 10 on their list so I wouldn't mind a later pick (ideally a late second). But if Richmond can't offer that, then maybe it's Sholl + late pick for a Fawcett?

Would barely cost anything

Had a decent 2024 but out of the team now and no prospect of returning

Would be pretty much a free hit for another club

Pick swap with both being in the 50+ range

We have basically nothing after our first two picks. Even traded our 2025 4th rounder to GC. We might need some late picks still too for Kellaways son.

We do have an absolute glut of KPP’s. Because we invested early picks in the youngest ones I imagine we’d trade out the ones we’ve invested the least in being: Blight, Fawcett, Koshitschke, Bauer, Tyler Young but it’s not a real appealing bunch. Fawcett looked good in the game he played but he’s just behind way too many early picks now.

Campbell Gray is one that looked fantastic in the games he played and would be the best one to pry out if you convince him he’ll struggle for opportunity.

I’ve been a Sholl fan for a long time so this isn’t coming from any rumour Richmond are interested, but I think we’ll go bargain hunting this off season and I struggle to see how he doesn’t make sense. Our current wing players are diabolical and we need players that can run.

Behind Toby Murray (Nick's younger brother), the cupboard is reasonably bare for depth KPFs. And with Cumming, Curtin and Mitch Stevens coming this year, we're fairly well set for wingers. So perhaps there's a deal to be done there.

I think in a team that knows how to utilise outside players then Sholl is an option to consider, he has his strengths but also has his limitations.

We aren’t a great side for utilising our wings especially if they dont have some ability inside the contest.

Talk of 2nd rounder seems absurd to me, although he is contracted. Would be happy turning a 3rd into a 2nd. Or a late 3rs into an earlier 3rd.

Any fully established farms with all mod cons available in the Adelaide environs? Maybe a sponsorship with a trendy clothing manufacturer as part of the deal?
I think Ollie is deeply set in Geelong for a while.

I don’t disagree but that’s 20% of players we’re giving games to atm.

I thinks that's about right except you are really only freeing up four list spots plus Scholl. I don't think that's enough.

I'd delist/ retire Crouch as I really think we have moved past him.

I suspect Murphy will either get a year or gets moved to the rookie list. If he retains his spot in the team then I we can expect him to be on the list in some form in 2026.

Burgess only survives if there are no better back up options around the league.

I think considering he would fit into the best 22 for at least 4 teams, we could probably wrangle a 2nd rounder if we sent him with one of our 3rd rounders

I don't think he holds much value. He's not in our best team because he can't get the ball or do good things with it, it's because he's consistently failed to contribute in high pressure games. Even the bottom few teams in the league aren't going to value a placeholder that much.

I don't know his contract situation and I've got no doubt the Tigers will want to keep him and he probably wants to stay but Seth Campbell is the one who has really popped this year and who with his speed and creativity would be an absolute fit for our needs.

A free list spot is payment enough.

Realistically, I could see us chucking in a 3rd for an upgrade to a 2nd.
This is what I think we should be aiming at as I don't think on his own he gets us a 2nd rounder. But if we could turn him into one by including one of our later picks, it would give us a full suite of picks in this years draft and a freed up list spot

So what's the story on Wanganeen Milera coming up in the Channel 9 news?
Tom Morris reporting decision isn’t based purely on the $, he’s interested in success, on and off field (may have misheard off field part). He wants to know the direction of the Saints and if that will be achievable under Ross. Decision likely end of year.
