FiveAA saying Chris Scott was looking at a high end house in Adelaide, this was not a rumour but fact apparently :eyes: :eyes:

His wife is from Adelaide and he has relations with Balme

Did hear that. Very interesting as apparently his partner is from Adelaide.

With all of his many lucrative advisory positions I'm sure a salubrious pied-a-terre in SA is well within his budget.

I did find it odd that when I got off the plane last night at 6pm returning from Melbourne that Chris Scott was walking to the departure lounge! (Didn't see any other Geelong people around)

Good fun nonetheless!
That's interesting, he's contract is until the end of 2026 but if we poach him we are moving big time

May need to tidy up the last line

Where are we going to get three jobs outside the soft cap for Chris to do whilst he's coaching?

Wouldn't hurt to have three rucks on the list, especially for some healthy competition, but I'd be playing Ramsden as the #1 whenever possible (whether it be at SANFL level, or AFL level when ROB's injured/regressing)

His Pioneers moved to a positive 3-2 record with the win over last year’s grand finalists. Diminutive Rebels midfielder Talor Byrne displayed his speed with 26 touches and two goals, while over-age ruck Flynn Penry showed out with 19 disposals, 31 hitouts, and a whopping 10 clearances.

Gather they are looking to lift their ratings...

From a list management perspective we really need to start looking A
at a forward. Walker nearing the end, if one of Filthy or FOG went down what do we have??

Hope is that Curtin could swing in but doesn't seem a natural marking forward. Burgess...no thanks. Welsh.. looming iffy

Maybe but I wouldn't be consumed by it

I hope we’re balls deep into Zac Bailey as a free agent for next year (entice him with a move home and midfield time that he’ll never get at the Lions), but if we don’t land NWM I’d be pushing hard to get him this year.

I’m interested in George Hewett as an unrestricted free agent too. Would love to have a strong competitor in the middle to give us more flexibility with Dawson.

Yes to Bailey , not Hewett (too old)

I wouldnt be surprised if we threw our hat in the ring for Petty again. However we should be able to get him for a future 2nd IMO. Which would equate to a pick int he 30s. He is struggling right now but so is Melbourne. Could be a good floating tall forward, defender option.

Not sure Bailey speak is coming from. Not out of contract until end of 2026, we probably wont have the salary cap to go the overs to really pursue a FA by the time that comes around. This is really our last year to throw money out there for a player, NWM is probably most likely.
