5 wins... they are miles off.

8-10 wins next year is my bet. then the year after finals. As compromised draft takes place many teams with rebuilding lists will find it hard to stay competitive. North stocked up on talent at the right time.

Everyone just needs to take a minute, we were never going to win the Premiership this year, we might get close, but right now there are better sides in the competition. We have had a ripper year, no doubt about it, but lets not get to disappointed and throw the toys out of the cot. We had 16 players play their first final last night, to win finals you need experience.

There is a lot of similarities between us now and Brisbane in 2019:

They added 10 players in that 5 year period from 2014 to 2019 that are best 22 players, between 2020 and their flag in 2024 they added another 6 including Dunkley, Daniher and Will Ashcroft, thats 16 first team inclusions between their rebuild through '14 to '19 and then finals/premiership push from '20 to '24. They also went out in straight sets 2019, before winning their flag 5 years later.

We have added 16 best 22 players within our 5 year rebuild, with hopefully a few more this year as we transition from rebuild to finals/premiership push. It's a journey, lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Ah Chee traded in at the end of 2019 for the Lions then 2025 for the Crows

He's not a break the bank super dominant midfielder imo. Id be taking Oliver ahead of him.

Sometimes there is only 1 home run ball pitched in the at bat. It might be a case of hitting a double and getting a RBI.

Getting decent players and upgrading the list to replace delistees is still an improvement.

If anything less than a home run is seen as a failure, then you can't sports ball very well.

I can see him getting back to his best. A move interstate, back under Burgess, good culture around him. He's only 28

Hope for the best (somhow convince a top mid to want to come to us) and plan for the worst with the worst being upgrading the floor of the team again...that should be the plan

My concern is the $$, youre paying a reasonable price for a guy so you want him to be somewhere near Dawson in terms of output.

I think we need to see more of Curtin at CB next year, and Draper of course.

We need midfield depth. Our current midfield bats two players deep and one of those is highly useful in the forward line
